Services
We have over 50 years combined experience delineating, mapping and assessing wetland resources. AE conducts wetland delineations following the protocol put forth in the 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual (2009 Regional Supplement). AE performs wetland functions and values assessments utilizing both the Army Corps of Engineers functional assessment protocols and the Vermont Wetland Evaluation Form.
AE's qualified botanist has conducted numerous rare, threatened and endangered species inventories throughout the state of Vermont for both conservation projects and development proposals. This includes the development and implementation of rare plant mitigation plans when necessary. AE regularly conducts inventories for non-native invasive species as part of conservation and proposed development projects.
AE has worked extensively with the State of Vermont River Management Program conducting Phase I and Phase II stream geomorphic assessments. As a component of these projects, we routinely conduct bridge and culvert assessments on a watershed basis. We employ standardized methods for collecting and evaluating geomorphic and habitat data, as developed by the River Management Program.
AE has worked closely with clients and regulatory agencies on a wide range of environmental permits including State and Federal wetland permits, State Landuse and Development permit (Act 250), the Section 248 petition, and local (town) Planning and Development Review Board zoning permits.
AE works with individuals, businesses, municipalities, and state agencies to design projects that not only meet the objectives of the project but also avoid or minimize impacts to the significant natural resources on the site.
