Asbestos began as one of the world's "wonder minerals". Its unique properties, including flexibility and fire resistance, and its generally indestructible nature, made asbestos an extremely useful and popular commercial product. Insulating materials, flooring, roofing, textured paints, wires and automobile brake linings have all contained asbestos during the past 75 years.
All asbestos abatement work is performed in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations and ordinances. Each job that requires a permit from the State Department of Health, and/or the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is appropriately notified and permitted. Our equipment is state-of-the-art, and well-maintained.
Lead is a highly toxic metal, and has been found to cause serious, if not crippling, health problems including: damage to the nervous system, brain and kidneys. Lead can enter the body through drinking, eating, or simply breathing in lead dust. Children and Industrial Workers are most at risk for Lead Poisoning.
The United States is experiencing a trend toward greater awareness of the dangers of indoor air pollution. Air duct systems have been found to gather unhealthy accumulations of various airborne pollutants - dust, pollen, animal hair, and insects- all of which are natural incubators for pests, bacteria, fungi and mold.
Environmental Hazards Management (EHM) performs Mold Remediation in all types of structures. We perform everything from the cleaning of contaminated surfaces to demolition of building components to eliminate mold hazards. Equipment used, and remediation methods are similar to those employed in abating Asbestos.
