Services
Dr. Jeffrey Charles Schildhorn graduated from Duke University and attended medical school at Temple University. Focusing on minimally invasive surgical intervention, Dr. Schildhorn relies on arthroscopic procedures when possible in order to cut down on downtime following surgery. Born in Philadelphia, he chose to spend some time gaining hands-on experience in surgical intervention and sports medicine on the west coast.
Dr. Schildhorn strives to create treatment plans and options that ensure a proper course of care while minimizing time away from work, life, and family. While Dr. Schildhorn is an arthroscopic surgical specialist with well over 10 years of hands-on experience, he also offers advanced non-surgical intervention measures.

Dr. Schildhorn took meticulous care of me through a really nasty humerus fracture. He clearly laid out both surgical and non-surgical options. He tends to think of surgery as a last resort, and I greatly appreciated that. As it turns out, I didn’t need surgery, but had he determined that I did, I wouldn’t have had any qualms. He inspired trust from the very first appointment. And today I have zero pain or issues and am back to normal.
Aside from the specifics of his treatment and approach — which are top-notch — he's personally one of the most warm, calming, and kind people I've had the

I live in Manhattan and you would think that it would be easy to find a solid orthopedic surgeon...not the case. Dr. Schildhorn truly changed my life. I had been to four different orthopedic surgeons (3 year span) prior to meeting Dr. Schildhorn and was referred to him after another bakers cyst rupture behind my left knee. Dr. Schildhorn truly listened to me, took the time to fully understand the issues with my left knee, and was not quick to recommend surgery. In fact we waited a year to move forward with my procedure and I chose to move forward with surgery in Jan 2021. I could not be happier

Dr. Schildhorn did a decompression on my left shoulder, along with stitching up a torn labrum that has been plaguing me for nearly half my life. I had a different surgeon previously do almost the exact same procedure on my right shoulder, and I can't even begin to describe the difference in recovery. Throughout my physical therapy and follow up appointments with Dr. Schildhorn, everyone has been telling me my range of motion is excellent and ahead of schedule, and pain has basically been minimal the entire time. This has been a breeze.
My right shoulder with the other surgeon was a completely

His office is very clean, well kept and most importantly wait times are minimal and I felt very safe coming in during COVID. His staff is great and

Amazing doctor. He is friendly and knowledgeable, but most importantly his work speaks for itself. Earlier this year I fractured my tibia plateau and tore my meniscus. TPF is a complex and relatively rare knee injury that requires hardware insertion and often involves a very lengthy recovery. For many people it’s a life changing injury that impairs their ability to walk, exercise, or play sports without pain or discomfort. I’m nearly six months post operation, and I’ve resumed nearly all of my basic pre-injury activities without pain. From what I can gather in comparing my experience with

I'd give more stars if I could, his front desk staff is great, office locations are easy to get to. I found out about Dr. Schildhorn through ZocDoc and scheduled an appointment in July 2019 for a knee injury. He explained to me the extent of my injury (dislocated kneecap and a bone fragment was between joints) and the outcome, which I ended up having to get a knee athroscopy. Throughout the times I have met with Dr. Schildhorn, he has been very informative and to the point. Five months post-surgery and 20+ PT sessions later, my knee is feeling like it was before my accident. Thank You, Dr. Schildhorn

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Schildhorn. I booked an appointment with him due to a chronic hamstring injury and he provided exceptional care. It was very clear during our initial consult how extensive his knowledge was; he properly diagnosed my injury and suggested rehabilitation exercises I could do before even receiving my MRI results. His bedside manner is the best I've experienced - he's extremely warm and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend him!
