Located in Chicago's River North neighborhood, Greywood specializes in intensive behavioral health services for adolescents and young adults (ages 12-26). Our integrative, evidence-based partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are grounded in traditional and modern psychotherapeutic approaches and designed to deliver enduring healing in a structured, calm and enjoyable environment.
A key differentiator of our curriculum is a stronger emphasis on the relational element of a standard PHP / IOP offering. This lens allows our clients to establish a more comprehensive toolkit, one that includes both a reactive and a proactive stance. Our team is highly experienced in addressing a wide range of concerns.

Services
Greywood was founded on the premise that even the smallest breakthroughs, when taken together, can amount to something really special. Building upon a robust foundation of evidence-guided therapy modalities and transtheoretical techniques, our intensive programs are specifically devised to progress adolescents and young adults who have reached an impasse in their healing journey and continue to suffer from hindering behavioral health concerns.
A foundational idea driving the Greywood program arose from recognition of an ever increasing number of effective psychotherapeutic modalities. The elements of these varied psychotherapies heavily overlap but very often with distinct terms, explanations, and instructions, all of which can create confusion when bundled into a more standard, 'multi-modal' PHP / IOP.
We recognize that intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs necessitate a significant time commitment, and we are dedicated to delivering enduring and measurable results. At Greywood, data underpins every element of program design and evaluation.
In fact, through the use of standardized quantitative assessments, we monitor treatment progress for one hundred percent of our clients, beginning with time of enrollment and continuing beyond program completion.Furthermore, we complement industry questionnaires with proprietary surveys aimed at measuring the quality and efficacy of the complete Greywood experience.

Many behavioral health practices find themselves in one of two camps: they either gather too much client data or not enough. As a child psychiatrist, I am often asked for my thoughts on the role of medication management in patient care. Though my formal training is in medicine and psychiatry, my efforts to understand the mind and therapeutic practice span a host of.
We accept most major insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna and BCBS. At time of enrollment, one of our utilization review specialists will contact your insurance company to pre-authorize treatment, prove medical necessity, and provide an estimate for any out of pocket costs. If insurance coverage isn't an option, a sliding fee scale and payment plans are available.

Horribly unprofessional. They strung us along, saying we'd be called the next day for an intake interview. Then they wouldn't call. This happened repeatedly for a week, a week in which we needed help, and then finally, they sent an email saying they're not taking new patients. Why didn't they say that at first? Why did they keep lying about calling us, and then not following through? Stay away.

I cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you've tried other therapeutic establishments and haven't gotten what you feel you need.
For the last four years of my life, my mental health has left me practically non-functional. This has resulted in me paying visits to practically every major therapeutic establishment in the Chicagoland area (Compass, Rogers, etc.). As I bounced from one to another and watched my mental health continue to progressively decline, I started to realize one thing. All of those programs were stripped of practically any focus on the individual, instead falling in

Greywood was my first intensive behavioral therapy experience, and I am thankful for it. I was given the tools and support I need to deal with the complexities of my life. The staff was amazing and encouraging throughout my time there. I have now completed the program and though I do not plan on returning I know that they are one call away and ready to help if I need it.

After years of numerous medications, various therapy programs and inpatient stays, we are thrilled to have found Greywood Health Center for our teenage son. All previous treatment programs were structured as "this is where you are and this is how you can move forward" instead of diving deeper into "how did I get here?". I highly recommend Greywood for their patient attentiveness, calming atmosphere and unique approach to therapy. Our son was extremely hesitant to try yet another therapy program but upon completion of their 4-week Intensive Outpatient Program, he said he was sad to see it come to
