The appt was a very good telephone appt. First got a call with front office staff at the appt time. Answered some quick questions to be provided to the doctor and was then told the doctor would call me in about 20 minutes. He called in 10 minutes!
Conversation with doctor was great. He answered all my questions clearly and completely. Doctor wanted to see me in 5 days. He said someone would call me to set up appt which they did very shortly thereafter.

I have suffered with lower back pain for forty years. I have been treated with chiropractic (I was married to a chiropractor for four years so in that period he attempted to treat me. Many of his friends tried to help with my pain as well.
Over that time I received SOME temporary relief. But not enough to rely on chiropractic care as the best solution.
I also got epidural injections, back ablation, and acupuncture over the course of time and explained my history to the intake manager, who was a nurse practioner. She seemed to hear my history but then

The front office staff is amazing. They are always very friendly, helpful and attentive. I have heard them going over a procedure process with other patients and they never seem to get frustrated with all the questions they are asked. They greet you when you arrive and make sure to say goodbye when you leave. Top notch!

The ladies in the front office were friendly and very helpful. First I saw a physician’s assistant and he was knowledgeable and communicated well with me about my situation. Then the doctor, Dr. Pico, came in and he was everything I would wish for in a pain doctor. He took time to listen to me, then explained the policies of his pain practice to me, and then together we came to a workable plan for my pain management. At no time was I treated by ANYONE as though I was a ‘drug seeker’ and to be suspected of wrong-doing, a situation I had found in another unrelated office. I recommend this pain

I wasn’t able to see the doctor because of her illness but the staff took care of all my needs. I have since seen the doctor and was as impressed with her professionalism as before. AZ Pain Doctors has treated me for severe lower pain for almost 2 years. There are doctors, then there are great doctors! Dr. Pico is one of the great ones! The staff is friendly and helpful despite dealing with cranky people all day along. Last the Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioner Kristen Tenney and Tanner Thorntonare the best, empathic and kind.

I have been dealing with health issues for a long time and have lots of experience with different practices. This one specifically will fail to provide you with the medication and care you need.
The Dr. I was referred to failed to document my notes from the recent appointment I had; they’re insisting on another appointment for the same thing I just saw them for two weeks prior. They will charge you for scheduling an appointment along with the appointment itself. This is definitely a practice that needs to go under review from the BBB.

This is one of the very few doctors' offices where I knew that someone had actually read over all the information I provided by filling out the pre-exam forms, then following up with specific questions about the info I provided. I also felt that they were not rushing me through the process just to get to the next patient. I saw three separate professionals and paraprofessionals who took charge of different aspects of my health.

The front office staff is very efficient, friendly, and compassionate. While not everyone will “click” with every provider, they are willing to change to another provider, no questions asked. Not all practices are willing to do this. Back office is very efficient and cordial. The office manager was not available at any time when I needed her assistance, phone calls or notes didn’t work. In fact, she never bothered to contact me at all! This was unfortunate however, I stayed as a patient due to the exemplary care I receive from the physicians, front & back office.

My wife made an appt to see a doctor at the Arrowhead office. We waited almost an hour after her appointment time while they collected a preliminary payment of $140.
When we were finally asked back to a room, we had a brief interview with an assistant. The doctor then came back and said he was too busy to keep our appointment, and asked to reschedule for another time.
We had to go see a different doctor to get help.
After all that they are trying to bill us additional for that call. Unbelievably bad service with no concern for patients... just chasing a buck!!!

Office is very poorly ran, Front office check in person is absolutely rude, I seen Dr and she was very nice, Also seen Chiropractor, Very nice also, left and checked out, Lady told me they could not make any further appointments, As secondary INS was showing hold as they are Primary, along with my Primary, Therefore gave me RX for 2 MRI, and xrays, Along with RX for back brace, I called secondary ins, and verified they had correct information, Which they did, and called office back, told them what secondary said and gave them number to verify via phone, They would not do this, So I called secondary

I have been going to their office in Goodyear for a couple of years now. The doctors per se are great but have a big problem with their office procedures. I had a simple question for them to see if they would write a script for a medication. Instead of giving me a simple answer over the phone or waiting until my next appt, they asked me to come in even though I have literally just there the week before. My husband is the patient. He unfortunately had a massive heart attack two years ago. Because of some of the meds he was on he contracted gangrene. He had to have all his toes and 3 and a half fingers amputated. He has chronic pain. He came to AZ Pain and saw DR Hogan. They scheduled a procedure. 3 days before the procedure he was informed that he wasn't suppose to be taking his Warfarin. He was also told that DR Hogan would not be doing the procedure.

If you are reading this, please find another practice to help you. This place is grossly depersonalized - you are nothing more than a number. The front desk staff is either incompetent or just totally indifferent to your well-being. The providers seem rushed and annoyed when you ask questions. I don't know about you, but I have a very difficult time swallowing that every single time I come here, I have to pay the specialist co-pay premium but never actually get to see the "specialist" doctor. The medical providers are great, but the staff makes it almost unbearable to consider going back. I go to the Goodyear location. My doc is Dallas Smith. He's amazing. He actually listened to what I had to say and all my concerns then WE discussed a treatment plan. Now I see Pam and she is amazing as well. I finally found a pain mgmt doc who will listen to me and work with me, not treating me like case file but as a human being. 100% recommend AZ Pain Doctors! Couldn't be any happier!

Extremely nice staff. Very informative doctors. I currently see them for injections and chiropractic reasons. They really work with you on what is wrong, they get stuff done. Dr. Bowen, in chiro, is awesome. She really works hard on helping her patients. I know I'm not an easy patient bc of my health but she deals and if she can work with someone w my issues especially after neck fusion then I think she and the office are just awesome.
