Arm pain, particularly radiating pain into the shoulder or down the arm, often originates from a problem in your neck (cervical spine). Other causes of arm pain vary from joint injuries, compressed or stretched nerve tissue, or even heart attack (radiating left arm pain). Arm pain may begin slowly and progress over time, or may have a very sudden onset.

Cluster headache is far less common than migraine or tension headache. Cluster headaches occur in cyclical patterns or clusters, which gives the condition its name. Cluster headache is one of the most painful types of headache. In contrast to people with migraine headache, perhaps 5-8 times as many men as women have cluster headache.
Although some in the medical field take issue with the word "failed" in Failed Back Surgery Syndrome, patients who continue to suffer from chronic pain after surgery don't care what you call it. They just want the pain to stop; often demanding for the latest Failed Back Surgery Syndrome treatment option to rid them of the suffering.
A herniated disc refers to a problem with one of the rubbery cushions between the individual bones (vertebrae) that stack up to make your spine. The condition can lead to pain and discomfort in the neck, back, and leg area, and may require herniated disc treatment for relief. A spinal disc is a little like a jelly donut, with a softer center encased within a tougher exterior.

Dr. Thomas and his staff are amazing. The first time I walked in as a new patient I felt welcomed by the receptionist. I saw the nurse practitioner Megan for my consult. She was very thorough in my examination and very detail oriented. She was very kind and answered any questions I had. She will go out of her way to help a patient in need as well as Dr. Thomas and Tyra. The next visit I saw Dr. Thomas and he was also very kind and friendly. Dr Thomas and his team are absolutely the best team you could dream of! Today I had my second injection for my lower back. Originally I was suppose to have sedation for my procedure but I was super nervous for the sedation. His team noticed how nervous I was and talked everything through me with. They made me feel so comfortable and talked me through all my option. I ended up not getting sedation and it was the best decision because Dr Thomas is so light with his hands I didn't even feel a thing! I have been Dr. Thomas' patient for two separate issues and have been relieved of my pain in each instance. Dr. Thomas is highly qualified and has an outstanding bedside manner. I was thoroughly briefed on each procedure and all questions I had were answered. Beware... I was referred to Novocur due to a pinched nerve in my spine, I got an appointment straight away (on a Friday), which was good. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. Dr. Thomas recommended an epidural to reduce swelling, said I may have success with one treatment, if not we could revisit with another procedure and if, after three treatments without results, would have to look at other options. I switched pain specialists and started going to Novocur and saw Dr. Thomas a few months ago. I couldn't be happier. I almost died in a motorcycle wreck in '08 and have had back pain ever since. The last pain specialist only wanted more money out of pocket than I could afford for temporary relief.(almost $5000) Dr.Thomas recommended a procedure to remove bone marrow out of my pelvis to inject into my SI joints. This review is not about the medical benefits. It is about the length of time kept waiting. There is a sign on the wall that says your appointment will be cancelled if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. Yet.....they were more than an hour late with seeing my husband. What about our time? Seems disrespectful to patients.

I have been seeing them for over a year now for chronic pain I have in my neck and upper back from a car accident. From day one they have treated me like family. They are very involved with their patients and it really makes you know you're in great hands.

I've been a patient at Novocur for about 2 1/2 years, and couldn't be happier. After moving to Arizona from Pennsylvania I was without a pain management doctor and went through a couple horrible experiences before coming here. From the first appointment I knew I found the perfect place. I had been seeing a doctor in PA for 20+ years since I was 10 and formed a bond , so it was hard finding and trusting another doctor. This place is a joke! They will make you come in several times in order to make the most money possible. All I needed was a steroid injection so I could start physical therapy with a little less pain and they wouldn't do it. Instead they made me come in twice to do a painful temporary relief injection that only lasts 2 hours to try and find the source of the pain. I brought in my MRI clearing showing them where the pain is coming from but they insisted I go with this procedure which can have serious side effects that can result in permanent nerve damage.

Their advertising is very believable but their procedures does not work. Perhaps the people who have a positive review were coached to give a good review. Injections do not work and my husband's back pain is worse than ever. When we returned he was told that his only option is pain meds..... Yes, for the rest of his life. I don't think so.

Not recommended. website very misleading. whet in to see the doctor and told me my only option was steroid injections and that all the information on the website was wrong the first thing out of the doctor's. mouth was to call me a lair. should have his medical licence suspended should be a negative five star

Went for several back pain treatments with shots in my back. Doctor did not explain what substance he was using nor the course of treatment. Treatment ended when I received a phone call referring me to a chiropractor for pain relief with no explanation of why. I returned each time he requested--oddly he gave me 4 shots of something within a 6 week period of time. My back pain has been worse since this treatment.
