Tavern 292

Lovely clean restaurant and bar. Burgers and onion rings fantastic! We also ordered a sandwich but unfortunately the chibata roll was substituted with a regular round roll. Disappointed. Server was very pleasant and checked on us regularly. Ample parking.

My girlfriend and I have come here multiple times and have been blown away by the their food!! If you come here you must order their Buffalo Chicken Avocado Egg Rolls AND their Chipotle Chicken entree. Thirsty? Their Mediterranean Mule will certainly quench your thirst! Tavern 292, we will be back in 2022!

This place gets a lot of 5 star reviews for a reason. Very comfortable place - like eating at a family members house. All their food we've had (20+ visits) has been great. And wow what a treat on the bar - not only to HAVE the liquor license but to take it seriously - by that I mean have a great, albeit modest, beer selection and make nice cocktails. The white sangria is fantastic.

Loved that they had the outdoor options available during Covid. Although we were always all vaxxed it was nice to feel a bit more comfortable. Lots of great food and beverage choices. Love their salads and apps -nice portions. Great place to meet friends casually after work for drinks and dinner.

I've been here multiple times for lunch meetings over the past year. It's one of the only restaurants in the area open for lunch. The atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic. I have been working my way through the menu and haven't had a bad meal yet. Food is definitely fresh and made from scratch. Buffalo Chicken Avocado Egg Rolls are great and the Tavern Steak Sandwich is a tasty generous portion. Alyssa is also a great bartender!

I had high expectations for Tavern 292. Ate outdoors and was seated outside of the tent at a weird table. It was cold and there was hardly any light to see our food. If we had been in the tent, it may have been different, but I just felt disconnected from the outdoor eating area. By the time we were seated, it was too late and I just wanted to eat, didn't want to complain about it.

The food was OK, I honestly was eating in the dark outside so it was a little hard to enjoy it. Service was not great as well.

Overall, I want to give it another chance and possibly sit inside or in the normal

That was the best damn burger I ever ate. That pork was cooked perfectly. Delicious

The waitress (wish I remembered her name, dark hair with an accent) was literally perfect. The food was excellent. Nothing feels thrown together or cheap. You get your money's worth. The (I presume) owner or dining room managers presence was subtle yet attentive and helpful. I can't wait to go back and I fully reccomend going. Atmosphere is always on point with the season.

First restaurant that I have encountered where the menu has large enough letters to read. I truly appreciated it!
It was all smooth sailing from there. Beer was cold and food delicious.

Came here for the first time. Food was delicious. Great portions-left full with no leftovers. Resturant is clean. Tables are nicely spaced.

Went for the first time on a Thursday evening and I greatly enjoyed it. It was not busy when we got there so we had the option of sitting inside or outside, we chose to sit outside because of the beautiful weather. We ordered a few appetizers to start and all of them were very good. The blueberry basil smash drink was tasty and our server was great. Our entrees were all good and the portions are just right, but I wasn't able to finish my entree because I was so stuffed from the delicious appetizers.

After passing this place for years I was so glad that I stopped in for lunch with a friend. It's a substantial lively place where it seems there are a whole lot of regulars who have been enjoying the excellent food and service over and over. In my view, the burger is a reliable test of any new place To try and oh Tavern 292's passed with flying colors-the burger was deliciously tasty and... Juicy :-)

Place was ok, not bad but not too good. Our waitress was weird and told us to both keep our knives on the table that we used for sour cream, and was kind of creepy overall. The potato skins appetizer didn't seem very fresh, although they tasted decent enough. The Tavern 292 Burger was so big that it actually was hard to eat! It's definitely a handmade patty, but wasn't of great quality. It tasted like a basic juicy meat patty with little to no seasoning. The toppings made it serviceable though. Overall wasn't a terrible meal, but I would rather try many other new places rather than come back here

Horrible service horrible experience
After being a customer of this place a few times during summer and within a year it has drastically changed for the worst. Food was soggy and not properly prepared. When I spoke to the waiter about the double charged he yelled across the way and said it's only one. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I Spoke to the manager he just yes me to death and explained how due to Covid prices went up, never apologized for the service how can you increase prices if your dishes and presentation aren't worth it. Worst manager I've ever come

I like to go here when I don't know where else to go. The menu has a good variety of dishes to chose from and I've never been disappointed. Service is good, just not super attentive. Be prepared to stay for a while.

We had a wonderful experience for our monthly friend gathering. The food was on point, it looked delicious like it was straight off the magazine, but to top it off the server we had was absolutely amazing! He made sure that every need was taken care of gave us options and opinions as well. 10 out of 10 will come back one day.

Ample parking and outside seating available in a massive tent in front of the restaurant . We chose to sit inside at a hi- top in the bar area for lunch on a rainy day. The atmosphere was warm & cozy with lots of flowers n pumpkins. Tried the rose wine with a couple of salads - portions were a good size and was very satiating. Alyssa at the bar was very accommodating !

First time and not the last. We were seated quickly, service was amazing and the food. It has been a very long time since we found a decent place to eat in NJ. This place is definitely far from decent! The food is delicious!!!
Start with the tavern bacon, you won't be disappointed.
Barely finished with nicely seasoned Sliced Flat Iron Steak.
Pick 2 awesome and flavorful sides..
You cannot go wrong and very reasonably priced.

I wanted so much for this place to be great but it fell a little short for me. The dining area is small so I would assume on a weekend you may be looking at a wait. We started with appetizers of wings and fried pickles that were so over fried, we were surprised they even brought them to the table. The wings were good until we found the hair on the plate. Ugh!!! We immediately called the waitress over and she took them away and took them off the bill but it's such a dinner killer when that happens. Trying not to think about it, our dinners came out and it was good. The side of curry cauliflower

A recommendation from a neighbor and they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was fun and enjoyable, great music. The service was great and the food was delicious!
I had the Fried Pickles as an appetizer that came with an assortment of dipping sauces. For my meal I had the ribs with curly fries and Mac n' cheese. The ribs were with sticky bbq sauce that was very tasty. The ribs for being baby backs are very meaty and even tasted good the next day! The Mac n' cheese is rich and meshed well with the ribs. The curly fries were a bit of a disappointment. They didn't have much flavor

First visit and it most definitely will not be the last! Service was tops from the moment we walked in to the minute we left! Our server, Janet I believe was friendly and was on top of all of our needs including refills, doggy bags dessert etc.
We started with our all time favorite appy , the fried pickles. They were in a crispy, not that greasy batter and served with a three dipping sauces, a garlicky aoli, smoky chipotle and a sweet Chile sauce. All were worth a try and surprisingly the sweet Chile sauce was my fave.
My entree was the sizzling fajitas that included steak, chicken and shrimp
