At Optimus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Laguna Niguel, our dynamic Adult Jiu-Jitsu classes are well organized and taught by professional Jiu-Jitsu instructors. We use a systematized curriculum that has been developed by the highest level black belts in the world. Our organized curriculum is designed to give you a complete education in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu all the way to Black Belt.
Optimus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Laguna Niguel is home of "The Winning Attitude" Kid's Program, where your child gains strength, skill, and physical agility while becoming more respectful, disciplined, and confident. We teach children step by step to effectively defend themselves, even against bigger opponents.
The Optimus Muay Thai Kickboxing Program is headed by coach Stefano Obregon. Coach Stefano comes to us from Peru where he is well known as a champion in the ring. Stefano began his training at the age of 12 and has gone on to prove himself among the best kick-boxers in South America. Coach Stefano recently relocated the Laguna Niguel to start his family.
For more than 15 years Professor Grant Collins has been a loyal student of 5th degree Black Belt, Professor Tinguinha. The Optimus BJJ Academy is an official affiliate of the Tinguinha Academy network. Professor Tinguinha is a Legend in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has been training the martial art for over 30 years, opening several schools throughout the world.
This is your first private lesson. You will learn the most basic techniques of the martial art and be ready for the group Jiu-Jitsu classes. All belt ranks train together. The Novice students will work on Fundamental Curriculum, Advanced students will work on Advanced curriculum. There will be time after class for "Live" Jiu-Jitsu training.

My family loves this gym. They gave a fantastic kids program. My daughter has attended for 3+ years and it has built her confidence and character at a time in her life she really needed it. I also attended avms loved every day of it. Optimus is our BJJ family. Cant say enough about the people that belong here.

I visited Optimus BJJ while on a work trip to California. Professor Grant Collins and his students were very friendly and welcoming. One of them even gave me a lift back to my hotel. The school itself was immaculately clean and had a very nice mat space. The instruction was very good and the training was challenging. I highly recommend the school to anyone in the area.

Truly a 5 star experience! Their BJJ program is very strong for kids, and adults. Grant is an extremely knowledgeable, and experienced instructor.
