My wife & I went in the dining room where there was only one other couple. Two servers were engaged in conversation & ignored us. After sitting for about 10 minutes, a bus boy came by & left 2 waters. Soon thereafter, a woman sat down at an adjacent table. A few minutes later one of the servers appeared, ignored us, but talked to the woman. The server then left & returned with several menus & a drink for the lone woman, again ignoring us. After another 5-10 minutes elapsed without any contact we left. We found a very nice Indian restaurant a few doors down.

Amazing food that feeds the body and the soul. Lamb ragu with gnocchi was exquisite, the bruschetta perfection, the chocolate tarte is swoon worthy and the gelato is truly sublime. Owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. One of the best dining experiences in the Lansing area!

Staff was amazing. Chef made something from the dinner menu during lunch hours.

Vongole has an ample amount of clams. The sauce was amazing. Pasta isn't handmade and would pay 8 dollars more a plate if it was.
Need a side dish to discard clam shells, I used the bread basket.

Lava cake. Not really lava cake. Pouring lava on top of a bun cake isn't the same. It was good don't get me wrong but this is technically not a lava cake.

Friends ordered some pizza and said it was better than the pizzeria by their house. The staff was very accommodating so only do half cheese

I live for Italian restaurants and good service and i would give this place a 10/10 !! Our server Rennie had us laughing all night and all of the staff was friendly and timely!! I will be eating here all the time :)

We've been coming to Tannins for five years. Usually their dishes are very good. Tonight was not the case. Two had the chicken piccata, one had seafood linguine, both were very good. I had the carbonara and it was the worst I've ever had. The pancetta was so over cooked it was as hard as a rock. I honestly could not tell if it was pancetta or day old burnt bacon.

We had a spectacular dinner on Saturday after soccer games. The staff is so kind and never were our glasses empty. The wine was wonderful, the food came out very quickly and it was not only presented beautifully but also delicious. We all shared bites across the table. The owner, chef Marc came to talk with us when we first arrived and then came back to check on our meal part way through dinner. I noticed he did this with many of the guests which is such a personal service and a very special touch. He was very kind and patient with our young children with all of their questions. One of the best restaurants in Lansing. Food is great, half-portions are available so you actually get a human sized meal and not a huge wasteful amount like in most other places.

No bread,

First, the service and food are exceptional. The staff went above and Albertsons for us, the chef came by the table and the food was truly exceptional.

The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because this is an Italian Restraunt that offers no bread with your meal.

It may seem simple, however for the full experience of an Italian meal, I do very much love bread with olive oil and balsamic. And I know that I am not alone. The only option they give is a small piece of garlic bread for $2/serving that is presented in a styrofoam to go box. Even when seated to dine in. Very strange

I use to come here often being that my family lived close in Marbella but I moved but now we're back and we had dinner tonight, had a great time! My blackened salmon salad was amazing and my husband loved his lasagna. We also had calamari that was yummy too. I love the atmosphere it's a great place to take the family! Great wine also. Our server was super sweet and the owner walked around and greeted the guests. A great time and a new "weekly spot" we will be coming back every week for a night out with the family! Thanks again!

What's not to love? VERY friendly people, wonderful food, huge helpings. Desserts to die for (especially the unique carrot cake special). We drive quite a distance to come here.

Came in for a very quick beer and bite while waiting for my truck at the car wash. I ordered the margarita pizza because we are in tomato season right!?! Well the pizza came out quickly, great pizza oven char on the bottom which I love, the crust was otherwise underwhelming and undercooked. The pizza never held up when I pulled a slice out, just kinda flopped over. The sauce is ok, not too sweet but nothing memorable. The tomatoes.... I mean this is why you order a margarita pizza right??? The tomatoes weren't ripe and weren't seasoned... the tomatoes, the whole thing

Tannins is our weekly go to. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is amazing! Jessica is so warm and welcoming and Drew is a professional and charming server. We have been frequenting Tannins for years and will continue our patronage of such a wonderful restaurant!

Stylish, intimate, and chic interior with romantic 1940s dinner music. Make reservations! The warmed olives paired wonderfully with the tomato soup and herbed bread. Entrées were bursting with flavor and generous for the price. We can't wait to come back to this unique hole-in-the-wall gem!

Food Amazing! Service even better!!! I'd give six stars just for Jessica's great attitude and her undying commitment to customer service. We had the a Tannins salad and the dressing is amazing! The garlic bread with the purple olive tapenade was so good, we had to ask for more tapenade. We shared the Pesto Penne witch grilled chicken, mi Amore! LOVE Tannins! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food is absolutely amazing, I have never had anything I did not like. Sometimes the chef presents himself as well. Outdoor patio open for dining currently. Pictured is the Tannins Pizza and lasagna - YUM. Also love the cauliflower appetizer

Without a doubt, the worst customer service of any restaurant located in orange county. The manager Jesse is a reflection of the owner's, Gabriel, business style. Deceitful and uncaring.
I've been ripped off by these clowns twice. My bad for falling for the lies the second time.

Came to Tannins for the first time last night. It was an interesting experience. Their new outdoor seating was kinda cute with pallets for walls. Our server Stephanie was nice.

When I mentioned I was going to order pasta, she recommended the most expensive glass if Cabernet at $19 a glass. What?!?! We order our drinks, appetizers and entrees.

We waited 20 plus minutes and our appetizer finally came out. 3 minutes later our entrees came out. Disappointing.

Our waitress stopped by just after the food was delivered and didn't come back until after we finished eating. I wanted a second

Where have you been this entire quarantine? Oh wait right nearby and we unfortunately just now found you! Don't worry, we will now be loyal locals ordering delivery.

Everything was packed nicely. Food arrived hot and fresh.

The Harris ranch steak was incredible. Juicy yet flavorful, delicious chimichurri, perfect veggies that were plentiful and yummy potatoes. A great portion for the price. Thank you for slicing the steak so the exact cook we requested was readily visible!

We also ordered the chicken Marsala but filled up after splitting the steak so this will be a delightful meal for

Picked up food today!!! Easy, safe & sanitary. The food was awesome!!!
We ordered the fully loaded pizza with cream white sauce - very thin crust!!! Best pizza I have ever had!!! We also got the Tannins salad - very large and fresh.
Pancetta Carbonara was to die for!! great food!!! When we were allowed to leave Time out and they are open again I will be dining there often!

Fantastic and friendly service in a very stylist, yet cozy atmosphere. Each course was high quality, well executed Italian comfort food. I liked the taste of the food when Tannin was at their Okemos location, but balked at the pricing. Now that they're in the Eastside, the food price point is very reasonable, making their menu very accessible.
Even the made-from-scratch scoop of Chocolate Bourbon gelato (not pictured) was so delicious, it didn't last longer than 10 minutes.

Me and my wife had a good experience here. a very well thought out beer list, and I appreciate that. I had the chicken parmesan, the chicken was good breaded well and good flavor. The noodles were good. My wife loved her dish. The bread that came out to start was great. Bathrooms could use some updating, overall atmosphere was very nice. To end I had the bourbon ice cream, heavy bourbon flavor but still good. I would recommend trying it out of you've been curious and I wouldn't mind coming back.

Excellent food, as always but the service was minimal at best. We waited 37 minutes before even speaking to a server, which then took several minutes to bring water. She compensated us by comping each of us a drink. Pictured is the lobster stuffed shells, and butternut ravioli with scallops.

Heard the new Michigan Avenue place was open, so we went there for lunch, and sure enough, it was! Today was their grand opening, but since a lot of people don't yet know they're open, it was quiet.
I had the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was tasty, but there are several other items I'd like to try on another visit. The dessert menu looks worthy of a visit for that alone! For lunch, the prices are very comparable to other sit-down restaurants with food of quality. My lunch was $10 and I had some leftovers.

The food selections seem to have something for everyone's palette. The prices are fair and the food is excellent along with pleasing to the eyes presentation. We really liked how the entrees give you the option of a small or larger portion and priced according. My wife and I like to order different entrees and appetizers and share our food. We had Kyle as our server and he was spot on! A refreshing change from our last couple restaurant experiences where the food was good, however, the service was poor which is a real drag when you're spending decent money for the dinning experience.. Oh man. What an experience. Cracked it off with the calamari ~ amazing. The attention to flavor and bringing together senses that BELONG, the sour of the pepper pickles balancing the weight of the fried calamari, dressed in lovely herbs. Divine. The goat cheese ravioli was a whole different beast. I can't describe that sauce but it complements the cheese in... The most perfect way. To top it off, a lovely garnish of basil sprouts, too cute. Searching for early happy hours in San Juan Capistrano area and found this place. Menu online looked great for happy hour and they didn't disappoint. We ordered the mini lamb chops that was accompanied with tasted potatoes and veggies, Italian fries with bolognase sauce, coconut shrimp with fries and a chicken quesadilla with fries.
Each had a great flavor, the mango dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp was a fan favorite.
Wine and a sangria were both on the happy hour menu were also a hit.
Overall great place, nice decor reasonably priced food. (All of the lunch entrees on that menu
