They didn't charge me for or perform any service I didn't need and they were very clear with me on how the car was, what was needed now, and what might be needed later. Also, I was able to get to pick up my car the next day after some light service. Will definitely be back here again!

I had my 2003 Dodge serviced for a vacation to Florida. Based on the positive reviews from other customers, I decided to have Carotech do the necessary repairs.
Although the cost and time to service my vehicle was more than anticipated, there were many things that were done and fixed. Many parts were replaced, most of them original factory parts. The work was well done and I appreciated the mechanics taking the time required to do the job right. Gary, the manager, was quite courteous and professional and included an extensive warranty which eased my worries.
I noticed an immediate difference

This shop sabotaged my car! I brought it in to fix the wiring on a/c and was quoted a reasonable price. After leaving it for a day the owner called and said something to the effect of "it looks like it's actually going to be (twice the price) and WE'LL GO FROM THERE". This didn't sit well with me so I decided to get the car back before he started work on. He was extremely resistant to release the car but relented when I just paid his high appraisal fee.

Well first off they stole my spare tire in the trunk, they also stole one of my chargers it was an iPhone to aux cable, and then replaced it with a type c to aux chord. Not only did they steal those 2 items from me, but they charged me 125 dollars for a 30 minute inspection and then were trying to charge me 1200 for them to fix my air conditioning. Someone who works there is a thief and they are thieves as well. If you want to keep your property, time, and money I would not recommend carotech automotive. Who in their absolute right mind thinks it's okay to steal from your customer and on top

Carotech had good reviews and made the owner seem like a trustworthy friendly guy. But I was nearly scammed. Brought my car to figure out some squeaking sound. Was told that I should spend $800 for a whole brake job. Took my car to a trusted friend's shop a bit farther away (I live close to Carotech which is I came to Carotech in the first place), and my friend told me I only needed to change brake pads which cost me $150. As a person without a reliable mechanic , I depended on this mechanic's great Yelp reviews. Brought in my vehicle and they identified the issue, and when they returned my car they completely forgot to bolt down my back seat. I went a week trying to identify what the squeaky noise was. I had to go back to the mechanic for this inconvenience. Overall I just don't appreciate paying them for their labor and them not being able to complete the job. Something so simple yet dangerous not to have secured down. Just another car lesson for me!

This is by far the best service I have received in 20 years of having my cars serviced. Communication was superb throughout, it was done in timely fashion, and not only was the outside detailed but they also detailed under the hood! What!!?? No one does that, not even when you take your car to a dealership where you purchased it. I am speechless. Our car literally looks new inside and out and all that needed to be done was done. And not to mention that they do a full inspection and it’s affordable compared to other auto places in LA. Definitely will be bringing my cars here for years to come

I gave Gary a 5 star review for the following reasons. First, Gary offered good customer service which is often rare and important to me. His phone greeting was warm, he was cordial and listened to my needs. Second, he was upfront with me and advised that he may or may not be able to source the part needed to repair my vehicle. I was patient with him but called him daily for updates and he would advise me according. Patience was key on my part, due to COVID it was difficult to source items needed. While on a trip to San Francisco my left headlight went out. I went to two repair shops up there and either was able to get the right bulb, finally went to a local Lexus dealer and even with them they could not replace a part (controller) in a timely fashion, so I came home still without a light. My wife uses Carotech for her Subaru, and is a satisfied customer so I tried them. Dropped off the car and the work was done the following day at a reasonable charge. I would recommend them very highly to anyone with a Lexus or Subaru - our experiences have been great

I went to Carotech auto and Garry took great care of me ! He was very professional, very transparent, and gets straight to business. I had a oil leak and he fixed it and order me the parts I needs with a 2 year warranty. I would highly recommend this place because Garry makes sure your good even after you leave his lot. Car trouble when traveling can easily become a nightmare - or it can end up a blessing when you find a good, honest business like this. I brought my car in at 8 am and had it back by noon, not only repaired and ready to go, but cleaned, sanitized and detailed. I heard a humming noise on my car and wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Having an old car, it required a ton of repairs and maintenance but Gary (the manager) and the mechanics got my car running smoothly in just a few days! Great customer service and quick turnaround. After taking my car to a mechanic who made my suspension even worse, not better I took my car to Carotech for a second look. Carotech showed me what was wrong and replaced my front struts for a reasonable price. About 6 months later suspension was failing again, giving a very uncomfortable ride. I took it back to Carotech who replaced my front struts with a different brand no questions asked, no charge. Gary and his team are fast and fairly priced. I also had my brakes done here and now my 5 year old car feels like new. I've never been to the same mechanic twice since most are dishonest and

Car has been giving me issues. I can drive it but it won't start if I got to try to drive again.
I took it to jiffy lube and had AAA come out but everyone had a different suggestion of what the problem was.
I was getting frustrated since I did all the recommendations. Anyway, AAA suggested this place and let me tell you-FANTASTIC!

Driving on Olympic Boulevard we caught a flat tire and unfortunately it was shredded and no chance of patching. With the pandemic and everywhere being closed I was incredibly concerned how this would be repaired.
Towing the vehicle to CaroTech Gary was incredibly, friendly, understanding and attentive. Despite the uncertainty of everything he worked diligently to order the proper tire and left us feeling assured this situation would end well.

First, i normally do not write reviews on Yelp, but this place needs mentioning and gets a 5 star vote from me. A little background on my end:
My Land Cruiser needed some TLC on the AC department. It has developed a leak over the years, and wouldn't hold charge. Gary diagnosed the problem the same day and had the AC repaired in a timely fashion and now AC is blowing ice cold again. He also replaced my leaky steering gearbox, performed an alignment and oil change while the car was on the lift. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.
