At Let Them Eat Cake, we offer a delightful range of creative cupcake flavors and other desserts. We bake from scratch daily using quality, fresh, and in season ingredients. We know that people have different food preferences and needs. We offer vegan cupcakes, gluten free cupcakes, and nut free cupcakes every day.
Whether for a party, wedding, or just to treat yourself, we have exceptional desserts for you. They make a new selection of cupcakes on Wednesdays and always have one vegan option. You can custom order beautifully decorated cakes (including vegan cakes)--but need to order about 2 weeks in advance. My daughter chose to have cupcakes for her wedding reception instead of the standard wedding cake.

My wife and I have fond memories of grabbing desserts from Let Them Eat Cake during our college days in Davis. When planning our wedding, we wanted to support a local business we knew and loved for our special day -- this was the perfect place. Alyssa is incredibly creative and dedicated in her love of making desserts. We had a fun experience trying all the delicious flavors of cakes that Let Them Eat Cake had to offer. On our wedding day, Alyssa not only made multiple flavored cakes for us, but she also helped us create a special Strawberry Milkshake inspired cupcake tribute for my wife’s late

I stopped in on my way to celebrate my friend's birthday. I didn't know it was tucked in fraternity row. I enjoyed the ambience of the shop. You could look across and see a farmer's market. I did think there might be cakes and cupcakes but there were only cupcakes. Maybe I arrived to late in the day. Overall the bakery case was somewhat full.
The cupcakes were pretty tasty. Downside the frosting was a tad sweet on a couple. I'd go back.

Great vegan cupcakes! (4/5 green stars also)
On a Saturday afternoon there were no customers inside – perhaps they were all burned out after the farmers’ market. My feeling is that it’s a nice space and should have more custom – I know it’s summer break at UCD, but Temple Coffee was busy when I passed by. Here’s my unsolicited advice to LTEC: Perhaps what you need is some really good coffee to go with your cakes – good beans and a proper coffee counter. Also, put on some music – it’s too quiet.
I bought their vegan S’mores cupcake to go ($3.25). It turned out to be very good
