I've had the need to use Alvita's service recently, and they were very helpful in working with me to find the right aide. The health care aide (I'll leave her name out for privacy reasons) was helpful, learned my routine quickly, gave me good ideas on how to help myself around my place - and was punctual and friendly. She was especially helpful when I had to get to the doctor's office. She knew her way around a hospital and made my trip much easier.

My family has been using Alvita Care for over a year and continue to be impressed with their caregivers compassion and Case Management responsiveness and attention to detail. We have tried another agency before Alvita and had a horrific experience. Our Case Manager, Shanna, truly cares. She took the time to understand my grandmother's personality and also our family dynamics so that she could assign an appropriate aide. We have consistency with our schedule and if any of my grandmothers caregivers need a day off or get sick, Shanna quickly fills the shift with another caregiver from my grandmother

My family relied on Alvita care for an elderly loved one with a broken hip both during her stay at an acute rehabilitation facility and once she was back at home. This agency is superb! Struggling to find consistent and quality help while trying to manage the care for a sick or injured loved one can be very stressful and Alvita very much came to our rescue. Their aides, LPNs, and RNs are outstanding, and the support team works with you to find the right one(s) for your situation and to manage scheduling (which can be complicated). I highly recommend their services.

Our care-taker for my Dad, Joseph, is awesome. He really makes an effort to get my dad to practice his physical therapy without being a nag about it. He finds stuff on YouTube for my dad to watch (historical jazz performances mostly). When I couldn't get to NYC from Philadelphia in time for a changed doctor appointment, Joseph took care of everything. This was the first time I hadn't been there for a doctor's appointment with my Dad and it meant a lot to me that Joseph could handle it.
Alvita has been terrific with support, billing, communication, everything. :-)

They made it so easy.
From the minute they walked in the door the stress level dropped and we could relax.
We were caring for a cancer patient who had lost his motor skills and language skills making the smallest decisions and actions very difficult. The caregivers from Alvita Care knew exactly what to do, treated him with respect and kindness and removed a burden from us.
They listened to our needs, were mindful of us and took almost as much care of us as they did of the patient.
My only regret was not calling then two weeks earlier. They were great and an amazing value.

The team at Alvita Care has been a lifesaver to me in finding exceptional home care for a loved one recently diagnosed with dementia. Alvita Care helped my grandmother regain her strength after a fall through sending proactive, thoughtful, and caring aides. Everyone that I spoke with from the owner, case managers, and finance department was extremely professional and courteous, taking the time to truly understand exactly what type of care my grandmother needed (number of days/hours per day). Even as care for my grandmother became less frequent when she became better, Alvita Care continued to treat my grandmother as one of their most important clients through excellent customer service-something I know other home health agencies

Alvitacare sent at different times two different caregivers for my mom and I found both to be fabulous.
They were both very caring, loving, kind, gentle and above all experienced and very patience - and believe me if you know my mom at time you will need a lot of patience. Mom is a strong lady, has been self dependent her entire life without getting much help while she took care of me and my siblings - so even when she now gets irritated with the caregivers for doing their job, they have always responded patiently and in loving and caring ways.
I would recommend this company with complete confidence

They are the worse company I have ever seen. Since July 5th to July 27, 2012 they have changed the home health aid five times. One aid caused my mom's hearing aid to break by being dropped and stepped on. The second one left the front door completely unlocked when she left. The same aid two days later AGAIN left the front door unlocked. The third aid caused my mom to fall twice. The fourth aid did absolutely nothing but talk on her cell phone plus open the back door which is screened with the air condition running from 10 am until the next home health aid arrived at 1:00 with 98 degree

I have had a challenging time trying to find a caregiver that is compatible with my father and an agency that was responsive to my follow up questions. Home Life finally accomplished this for me. They not only took the time to get to know my father, but Tracy was responsive and always available.
