These dark spots and freckles are the result of your skin trying to respond to a level of sun exposure that it cannot handle. It is important that when you see one of these lesions appear that you do not make the assumption that it is harmless. You should have these checked to make sure they are benign.
Alopecia is a condition where the immune system, for mysterious reasons, attacks the hair roots in a region, causing hair loss in small, round patches. These patches may go away on their own, or may last for many years. Nearly 2% of people in the U.S. will develop Alopecia in their lifetime. Sometimes alopecia results in the loss of all scalp hair or all body hair.
Cysts are closed pockets within the body, containing pus or tissue. These are non-cancerous tumors that feel smooth beneath the skin and move freely when pressed. Cysts are usually painless, but can become painful if they rupture, become inflamed or become infected. While cysts often go away on their own, some types can be carefully removed surgically.
There are a variety of skin complaints falling under this category. Some rashes will respond to basic home remedies, while others may require extensive treatment. At Kushner Dermatology, the doctor will identify your rash and get you the help you need to resolve it. Eczema is a common skin condition, which is frequently described as "the itch that rashes."
Keloids form due to an over-production of scar tissue. Your body produces connective tissue cells at the site of a wound. If a keloid is surgically removed, it will reform, but there are other means of reducing keloids that do produce good results. Patients from Franklin Square, Valley Stream, West Hempstead, Malverne, Lynbrook, Elmont, and Garden City come to the Franklin Square location of Kushner Dermatology for keloid treatments.

They area set of thieves charging us $50.00 for copay
When our Insurance says $5.00 .
Being with and using United Health care we have NEVER paid $50 no Dr service has ever ask is to pay that much. They need to be reporting the OAG.
I would never recommend no one to this establishment plus the office is so dirty and the male front desk speaks so loud. Disgusting.

You have better luck going to Ulta to find a skincare routine to help you. Dr. Kushner is only going to speak to you for 30 seconds and automatically write you a prescription for steroids and something else she’s never tried. I tried giving the dermatologist a chance but this left a bad taste in my mouth. You will come back out the same way you went in. Good luck and do your own research.

I don't know if it's just covid fatigue but I felt very rushed yesterday, I had some questions I wanted to ask about other services and didn't get a chance to, the visit was very ok-here you go- good bye. The guy at the front desk made me feel like I was disturbing him when I went to pay, not a very pleasant experience yesterday 12/15/2021 and I'm very surprised I have been here before and It wasn't that way.

Felt rushed in the apt. Dr. Kushner told me exactly what I told the nurse who took my vitals Looked at me for 5 min and called it a day, like I was keeping her from her morning tea/coffee. Don't know if there was a more pressing matter for her to attend to but I sure was not it. Went here to get a second opinion because I felt rushed in the last place as well.

This isn’t a very welcoming environment. The front receptionist, technician and PA weren’t rude but they just seemed really disinterested and were trying to push me out the door asap. Busy day I guess? Plus I’m guessing most of their products aren’t covered by insurance, which is fine, but they try to sell you their products as if it were a business and not a doctor’s office. And then possibly get offended when you don’t purchase said products. I’ve been to a different dermatologist office before & have had all medicine covered by the same insurance. I’ve been here in the past and

The lady at the front desk, as well at the PA/MA were so great! I was very pleased with the PA, she was so nice, very honest and professional, specially in this time and date we need more medical professionals like her. I love your practice so much that I brought my daughter there, and made an appointment for my mother too who lives in Queens. Keep up the good work!
