I am very nervous about giving clothes to dry cleaners but I have to say this place is amazing!! I gave them a jacket I thought was irreparable and it came back as good as new! 10/10 would recommend for anyone that needs some serious dry cleaning done!

This place is the absolute best. The tailoring is FANTASTIC, and Lumi's just an incredible guy, with an incredibly hilarious sense of humor. :) I appreciate Alba's attention to detail and Lumi's willingness to make sure that I'm happy with the results! I had been hunting for a go-to tailoring spot for years; finding this place was a total relief and game-changer for me and my wardrobe. Thank you!!

I've gone to Alba three times now with a need for fairly heavy alterations on suit jackets and pants, and all three times requiring a 24-hour turnaround.

Most recently, it was to get work done on a suit for the funeral of a close relative who died unexpectedly. Needless to say, there was very little time available for me to have this done. The tailor was very understanding and sympathetic, and did a beautiful job within 24 hours.

Being in lower Manhattan, it's not the cheapest place out there, but you get what you pay for here (in a good way). They're the best I've come

Best service I've ever received at a tailor/dry cleaner!
I was traveling and staying nearby and dropped off a sweater that had a hole in it. The owner said he would fix it right away and when I came to pick it up - it was mended flawlessly and he did not charge me as I was a new customer. Would highly recommend!

Called for help and was met with very rude person. Had clothes damaged at another cleaner and had a couple of questions. Conversation ended with "you can have your grandmother clean your clothes". I hope this wasn't the owner on the phone. Definitely lost my business and my entire office.

My experience was amazing. The main person when I walked in (I believe is the owner) was very sweet and attentive. My sweater was fixed instantly. He had a great environment and was so stinking sweet to the next customer too. Highly recommend!

Had my first experience with Lumi and was incredibly impressed. Such a kind man who clearly works tirelessly to make his customers happy. And also did an incredible job hemming my clothes. After just one visit, I know I'll be a regularly returning customer.

Lumi is a real gem, a one of a kind person. Walking into Alba’s I feel as much family as I do a customer. And that’s without saying anything about his work, which is absolutely terrific. He’s tailored suits, coats, jeans, you name it, and the work is always terrific. He’s equally great when you find yourself in a bind and need something done quick.
Take my word, I’ve moved cities and countries, but I always bring my things to him when I’m passing through. You can’t do better because he’s the best!

Lumi, the chief tailor, is a magician. I first visited alba in 2015 and, after moving three times, I still use their exceptional service. Tried a handful of other tailors, but nothing compares to this shop - highly recommend!

My husband and I moved to Williamsburg but we still prefer to let our dry clean pile up and make the trek to downtown Manhattan to Lumi. Hands down the best tailor in all NYC. The guy basically has a line outside his door every time we come but he is still somehow able to have our clothes done and perfected within 48 hours. He's the real deal, very grateful for this place.

This man is magic. His customer service is off the charts. He works fast, has a great eye, and can fix anything. He clearly loves what he does and is very skilled. I couldn’t have asked for a more smooth, easy, enjoyable and ultimately productive experience—he adjusted 3 pants and a top for me and they all turned perfectly (taking up leaves, pant legs, patching etc). Highly recommend!

Alba always does a fantastic job with my dry cleaning and alterations. I regularly bring him pants, shorts, and dresses that need altered and it's usually done within a day! Super friendly, neighborly place- highly recommend!

Gotta love a business that invests in technology. This was my first time coming here to drop off my husband's suits for dry cleaning. Super easy drop off giving my email and phone number, which gives you access to their online portal showing you the status, along with photos of your garments. They offer delivery but I need an excuse to leave the apartment these days. Got a text my clothes were ready, and I came in the next day, paid, and the itemized receipt was emailed to me and is accessible online anytime. Easy! Definitely will return.

What a truly wonderful, kind, and reliable the owner is! I came here in a panic the first time because my brand new jacket was jammed into my backpack zipper. He replaced the backpack zipper and fixed my damaged jacket (my fault) so perfectly! It doesn't even look like the jacket was damaged. The next time I came in a panic was when my wedding dress full of layers needed to be steamed. I foolishly thought I could do it on my own and waited until the day before my wedding to steam it.
