Services
We are a private optometry practice whose mission is to provide professional, personal, and exceptional eye care and eyewear to our patients without the pressure of selling like retail stores/offices. Through state-of-the art computerized testing and careful examination, we assess each patient's individual visual needs and determine what type of visual correction is best recommended for each patient's lifestyle.
We know it is important to be thorough and so we offer more than just glasses and contact lenses. A complete eye health assessment including glaucoma testing and a dilated fundus examination is performed to evaluate the entire health of the eyes and uncover any potentially sight-threatening eye diseases that are not found by a simple vision screening.
Dr. Mindy Nguyen is a residency-trained therapeutic optometrist and provides eye care to patients of all ages. Dr. Nguyen graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2000 with a Bachelors in Science, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She continued her graduate education at the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry.

Jonathan joined our office in Octoober 2016 coming from warm state of Texas.
We are hoping this will limit the exchange of paperwork between patient and staff; therefore, lowering any risk for our patients and staff. Very professional yet friendly from the get go. The associates at the front desk were friendly and thoroughly put me through a series of digital eye tests. Then the doctor put my eyes through their paces. She then explained all the tests and made recommendations. She answered all my questions and was very personable. I liked my previous eye doctor, but this practice was even more awesome.

Cowardly staff. I was taking my daughter in for a kindergarten registration eye appt, and was refused to come to the appointment because I had my 7 year old son as well. My childcare fell through for him and I was unable to find anyone else. When I called to speak to the doctor, I was told she was with another patient and unavailable to speak to me during my appointment time. Sounds more like avoiding a conversation with me than too busy to speak to me.
I understand Covid risks and procedures, but if the entire school district can open up for children with the proper procedures, we’re all sanitized

I had LASIK done 4 years ago, and today I went in for my annual eye exam. The whole team was very friendly. Stephanie performed some preliminary measurements and scans of my eyes and then Dr. Nguyen dilated my eyes and did some more tests. They both were very knowledgeable and I appreciate that they educated me on what they were doing. They also seemed to be following all the latest safety precautions. I have no complaints!

Staff is friendly, Dr. Nguyen is thorough. I asked for one courtesy pair of contact lenses to get me through December as my contact lenses are very sensitive and tear prior to 30-days of use, and I'm not due for an exam until January. Dr. Nguyen refused to give me a courtesy pair because I was told I was "over-using" my lenses. I was told I could buy a box of 6, which I won't do because my prescription will change in January, as I had explained. As an RN on a COVID unit, I am working 16-hour shifts and more over-time than I ever thought I would. So yes, I'm probably "over-using" my contacts, whatever

I went to Huntley Eye Care for an exam intending to replace my glasses. After examining my eyes the doctor told me I could get new lenses if I wanted, but the change in my vision since my last visit was so minimal that it would not pay for me to spend the money to buy new lenses. That is my kind of doctor!
