Our specialties include: Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Optometry, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Management, Corneal Disease, Pediatrics, Neuro- Ophthalmology, Retina, Oculoplastic Surgery, Refractive Surgery, and full service contact lenses and optical shops. Our physicians are on staff at many area hospitals and accept most health care plans.
Services
Our doctors provide complete family eye care including routine, cataract, glaucoma and diabetic eye exams as well as specialty surgery such as oculoplastic and refractive surgery. A complete eye examination includes a series of tests performed by an ophthalmic technician. The pupils are enlarged with eye drops which allows the doctor to thoroughly evaluate the retina and optic nerve.
Please bring a list of your prescribed medications with you on your first visit to our office. Your doctor will want to review all medications. When you need to refill your ophthalmic prescriptions, please notify your pharmacist as early as possible. He or she will contact our office for the appropriate authorization.
Simpson Eye Associates is always looking for bright and talented people to join our team, With a total of three offices spanning the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, we may have a spot for you. We offer a challenging and rewarding work environment with benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
This condition frequently occurs in people who have a tendency towards oily skin, dandruff or dry eyes. With blepharitis, both the upper and lower eyelids become coated with oily particles and bacteria near the base of the eyelashes. It may cause irritation, itchiness, redness, and stinging or burning of the eye.
Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve-the part of the eye that carries the images we see to the brain. The optic nerve is made up of many nerve fibers, like an electric cable containing numerous wires. When damage to the optic nerve fibers occurs, blind spots develop. These blind spots usually go undetected until the optic nerve is significantly damaged.

Dr Guzman is probably the nicest/most polite doc I've seen. He treated my grandma's cataract. I've had very good experience with the place. They made sure I understand everything what to do and what not to do.

I have been a client of Dr. Strasser for years. Service in this new office in Huntley is absolutely great. They guided us to get the right frames and lenses. We also received our order earlier than expected. I would absolutely recommend them.

I contacted the West Dundee location after being seen by an Immediate Care facility. The ophthamologist that was given as a referral by the IC was no longer in practice and I was in dire need of being seen by a specialist as my vision deteriorated from the time seen at the IC. I explained all of this to the receptionist and requested to be seen. I was told that a) I was not a patient b) The doctors only treat scheduled patients. There was no concern/empathy for my situation. Absolutely NO effort was made to address the situation. This is despicable healthcare! This business and the doctors

After waiting a month for an exam they told me when I arrived the doctor wasn't there. What were the other people doing there? Were they seeing the receptionist? How many doctors are in the office? They said they called to notify me and that I didn't answer. The call was put in with no caller ID, I don't answer them unless they have an ID. I will drive an hour away not to use them.

They don't know how to give a correct time waiting in waiting room for over an hour and a half the first time I had been here and now it looks like this is going to repeat today. The office help has awful attitudes. The one star is so way to high for this place.

I saw Dr. Sylvia Rimbergas at Simpson Eye Associates and I have to say she was the best eye doctor I have ever seen. She is professional, compassionate and truly cares about achieving the best prescription results for her patient. She is very thorough in examining your eyes and goes out of her way to address any eye issues you may have. My eyesight tends to vary throughout the day and she was able to achieve the perfect prescription for me. I highly recommend Dr. Sylvia Rimbergas!

Stay AWAY!

I had photo-coagulation done on my eye at this office by Dr. Becker. the surgery did not fix my problem and was still experiencing issues that could lead to blindness for months after, I went back to see the doctor several times and he assured me that everything looked good and there were no problems. about a week after seeing the doctor for the last time I woke up with a 50% vision loss. when I called the office and explained that I had a detached retina they said that Dr. Becker wasn't in but there was another doctor I could see "immediately". after wasting most of
