I did not get a chance to eat lunch here.... But the experience is great for the snack and beers I had. The inn is super nice and our waitress was pleasant inspite the rush there was. Will come back soon

Nice resort on the coast. Went midweek at shoulder season so not super busy. Great views from the rooms. Solid bartenders. Customer service was a little wonky at times. Nobody answered the phone when you call room service, had to walk down to the lobby to place orders. May be a staffing issue given the times.

We booked an Ocean Suite for our honeymoon in August 2021, which at the time was the only category of suite offered through the direct booking options on Timber Cove's website. They have since added the category Premier Ocean Suite—which is what we would have booked had we known what we were getting.
The Ocean Suite promises an "endless pacific ocean view" and a separate tub and shower in the bathroom. These were the two main things we were excited about and why we spent hundreds more for the Ocean Suite rather than an Ocean View Jr Suite or an Ocean View room. We got room #1, an admittedly

A lovely, mellow, and magical place to stay. Timber Cove is where you can really unwind, relax, and connect with nature. The rooms are wonderful, the food is great, hiking is close by, and it’s dog friendly. We are coming back!

What a special place! A gem on the coast with great views, meandering paths, native plants, access to hikes and Fort Ross, and good food. Everyone who works here is so kind.

It's DOG FRIENDLY!! during our most recent visit, the dog to human ratio was like 1:1

I wish their menu had more vegan and vegetarian options, and changed seasonally.

Get a room with an ocean view (and bathtub) on the second floor, if you can!!

Nice getaway along PCH 1. The room was basic with an extremely comfy bed, couch, TV and pour over coffee. The bed faced the ocean. There is a restaurant on-site which offers 3-meals with indoor and outdoor dining ($$$) and room service was available. The weather was a consistent 66-68 degrees and perfect for walking the various paths around the grounds.

Definitely enjoyed our stay there. I booked this as a surprise for my bf birthday and he loved it! We wished we booked one more day bc the first day we arrived, the fog was a bummer. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staffs.

Beautiful scenery, excellent food. We had to change rooms and the general manager, Nicole Eisen, made sure everything went smoothly. They work very hard to accommodate guests during the recent increase in travel. I'd highly recommend!

Positive:
+ Nice views
+ Charming common areas
+ Good food

Negatives:
- "Forrest" rooms are really facing the parking lot and a loud patio.
- Our room had ANTS INFESTATION(!!!). Ants were climbing all over the walls.
- Rooms are tiny and generally of a low quality

Avoid at all cost.

Stopped by here today for the first time on my lunch break. Loved the place. Great ambience. Nice views of the water and a lovely wood burning fireplace.
By far the highlight of my lunch was my server Becky who went above and beyond to provide excellent service with a friendly and cheerful attitude.
I hope management is taking good care of Becky because she is doing a great job making customers feel welcome! I can't wait to come back here again! The place is beautiful and the food is delicious. Especially the chicken sandwich. Try this place today!
(Thanks again Becky for your kindness!)

This place smells. Yes, literally the rooms smell like to many bodies have stayed in this room and it has not been properly cleaned. At first I thought it was just my room but after sniffing a few of them while they were being "CLEANED" I realized they all smell. Maybe it's the dirty pull out couch or the scratched chair? I'm not sure but this place is not what the web site photos show.
Yes, the view is spectacular from some of the rooms but beware you will need to sleep with your sliding door open and hope you can stand the stench.
They get two stars for the view if you are

I didn't stay there but I do hike there pretty frequently. I lost my phone on a hike at Timber Cove and searched for an hour. I finally went inside to see if it was turned in and sure enough it was. Why I'm writing this is how nice and thoughtful the front desk lady was. She saw me and said "are you Justin"? And I said yes! She replied "We found your phone and we tried calling your bank". I was so relieved. The kindest thing was she saw how exhausted I was from running around searching for my phone that she gave me a free bottle of water, not a plastic bottle but the expensive glass water. I was

Was in the area exploring Fort Ross and decided to stop by Timber Cove Resort for lunch. Seated outside sipping on a chilled Arnold Palmer overlooking the vast Pacific ocean. Discussed vegan options with staff and the chef created the smoked squash pappardelle and the asparagus mushroom risotto using seasonal ingredients. Blown away (as in not sure why these aren't on the regular menu). The risotto was good but the pappardelle was on another level. Best I've had. Beyond the food, staff was respectful and accommodating to my dietary restriction. After the meal, walk the grounds and check

Breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Design touches and amazing architecture. Courteous, thoughtful, warm staff who went out of their way to help me. Fireplaces; an incredible view from the room; the sound of the ocean. There are extremely few places like this in the world ... and even fewer that also allow dogs.

We really had a great time! Wishing we stayed a little longer but we'll definitely come back. My husband found this gem online; we tried booking but they were fully booked I visited the site the next day and lucky enough we were able to score an ocean view room, prices are a bit on the expensive side especially if you want the best room, the view and the space. Check in is at 4pm drive up there took us about 3 hrs plus stops; TIP: it's a very winding road/drive make sure your pup/dog is okay with that; ours isn't so he threw up a couple of times but nonetheless when we got there

Came here for a quick weekend getaway late June 2020 (ref. pandemic happening) - we really wanted a change of scenery. We were able to grab a partial ocean view room which meant we weren't facing the ocean but when we stepped out to our deck/balcony area we could see it. We could definitely hear the ocean - it was so peaceful and pretty. Given the outdoor activities available and nearby (ex. beach, hiking, outdoor restaurant) we thought this would be a safe place to stay.

The hotel is definitely a bit on the pricier side but I do think the location and the views make up for it. If you&apos

$400/night. No problem we were celebrating a milestone. Planned 2-night retreat on the Sonoma Coast. We checked into our room only to be greeted by the smell of strong body odor. Then, a glance at the bed... multiple ugly and obvious stains on the duvet. Closer look... a lot of human hair and, maybe, dog hair? I went down to the lobby to get some help. The lady at the desk said there was nothing she could do for me. I asked for the manager. "I am the manager". There is nothing we can do...

It was a long 3 hour drive home, but I was at peace knowing I would not be sleeping in a nauseating

I'm giving them four stars because the bottom line is that i would stay here again... but it was close to three. Here the deal:

The things that are great, are kinda the same things I don't like... it was cool to have a little "real flame" fake pot-belly stove and a record player in the room. I actually used the record player... there is a certain vibe there. But it's also kind of contrived and just a way to connect with the Mellenials... doesn't feel even remotely genuine. Same with the "pour-over" coffee... how hip. (But, really, a very good cup of

Couldn't be more pleased with timber cove. The hotel is the perfect size to where you don't feel overcrowded and are completely relaxed. The view, food, and service are everything that you can ask for in a ocean getaway.

Upon checking the host heard me mention that there would be a baby at dinner. She was kind enough to surprise us with a pack-n-play already set up in our room when we entered. In addition, I mentioned that it was my dads 60th birthday. They had a birthday card and wine already in his room.

Perfect getaway that is dog and baby friendly.

Can't wait to come back
