We aim to create a better wine with more character and flavor that redefines how our customers think of Kansas wines. From the begining we felt if we can't sell it we're the ones who will end up drinking it so it better taste good to us. Apparently others share our tastes and are beginning to notice the difference.
So we welcome you to visit us and taste for yourself the difference. We think you'll find one, or maybe more, that you'll want to take home to meet the family. We like to think of our Tasting Room as a destination. Whether you are looking to spend a quiet afternoon sharing a new wine with friends or need a smaller venue that is just right for your not-so-big event, we cater to you.

Services
White Tail Run Winery was started in 2003 by Dan Fuller with the help of his wife Nancy, son Dusty, daughter-in-law Jennifer, daughter Christy and son-in-law Josh. Dan had just retired and decided to grow grapes to keep him busy in his retirement. After growing grapes for a couple of years Dan decided to try his hand at winemaking.
Rules are this. Teams cannot be larger than six, all items will be found in the vineyard, we will not accept entries of items that are not what we have hidden for the hunt, teams will take pics of items (all team members must be in the photo) as proof they found each item, and the first team to find 20 items WINS!
The mission is simple: to create complex and flavorful wines that earn a place on your table. This is Chambourcin wine that has been aged in Toasted Oak Barrel for approximately 8 months. It has black pepper and spice with some oakiness to it with a nice smokey finish. Chamourcin grapes, this time with a medium sugar content.
Our Tasting Room is open three days a week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon. We are closed on major holidays. We charge $5.00 per person for wine flights. Parties larger than eight need to contact us for rates. We also have wine slushies available for purchase as well as select varieties of Kansas craft beers in our Tasting Room.
We would love to hear from you be it questions about bringing your friends out for that fun afternoon you deserve or contacting your local liquor store to educate them about the benefits of carrying our wines. No matter what it is, please use the form here and send away. We all keep a close eye on our inbox so expect a reply within one business day.

Drove right by this winery and their road signs caught my attention so I had to turn around to explore more! I parked and walked inside this cozy little tasting room and was greeted with a smile (a masked smile, which is even better) I had some questions about the wine slushies and the woman who helped me (I never got her name) was so sweet and took the time to explain the process to me even though she was in the middle of helping other tables as well. This was definitely a hidden gem that I will definitely return to in the future!

This winery is a hidden gem that has always been very accommodating and welcoming with every visit no matter how slow or busy they are. They have amazing wines and snacks available for purchase but also carry local beers that are just as good! Whitetail has great options for outdoor seating with a peaceful atmosphere. They also have events with food/food trucks! The staff and owners are great at what they do and Lauren especially... has always provided my husband and I with exceptional service! You won’t be disappointed! :)

I recently attended a Bridal Shower and I would NOT recommend this venue to anyone.
Let me sum it up by saying, promises made and promises broken! What the owner explained over the phone, was not carried out by the staff. Due to COVID, there were restrictions placed that we wholeheartedly understood, we wore masks, abided by the rules, there was a lot of money that was paid, people drove for hours away to attend and celebrate but what they promised was not delivered.
They reduced the capacity to only 12 guests, which was not what we were told. In fact, I didn’t even get to participate and had

Recently had my bridal shower here. We were told on the phone that we would have to trickle inside and outside during the event because of COVID. We also wore masks, and were told that we could have four tables inside when I spoke with the owner on the phone. I was also told that we could open up the doors so my guests outside could see inside(which never happened). The tasting room is closed to customers, so regular customers can only come in for bathroom purposes and to order from the bar. The woman working behind the bar told us we could only have two tables inside with only 12 spots for people

We got a little lost going to this winery. We arrived inside the tasting room at 3:25pm. We were told by both staff members that they close at 4. When we asked if they were doing tastings they both said NO. We did end up doing at tasting however the experience was ruined by the rudeness of the staff. My advice to you if you are planning a visit is to arrive at least an hour before they close or otherwise they will be more interested in leaving than in serving or selling you any wine.

Stopped by White Tail Run this weekend and had a great experience. The folks were super friendly. Had the tasting of all 15 wines. All were fantastic. It was hard to rate them! Decided on a bottle of the Buck Naked red. Enjoyed sitting on their huge front porch, enjoying the weather and the peaceful country atmosphere. Bought a block of their Ghost Pepper Habanero smoked cheese to enjoy with the wine. Best spicy cheese we have ever had. Bought every block they had to take home plus three more bottles of wine! A hidden gem for sure! We will be back this summer!

This is a fantastic family owned and operated Winery! They have a beautiful tasting room and everyone we encountered was warm and welcoming! The wines were all amazing, and my only disappointment is that I did not buy more to take home!
Make sure to check this place out, and taste some of their delicious wines! I look forward to going back again when the grapes are growing!
