Port Costa is the type of cloistered hamlet you amble into casually after walking in the hills of the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline. The commercial section is a mere blip at the end of Canyon Lake Drive, and this ramshackle watering hole provides the anchor. I remember the place intimidated me the first time I saw it well before the pandemic because there was a sea of motorcycles parked in the lot and on the street. The patio was packed and the beer was flowing, over 250 different brands.
I had it in my head that Jamie W. and I would come by for their $32 Prime Rib dinner, but it's

Somewhere in the East Bay at the end of a winding cliff side drive lays the Warehouse Cafe. A long long time ago, I would've been happy to spend an entire birthday night here; big ole okay steak? Suuure. Nowadays, if I'm hunting for a special occasion eatery with the weird codicil that it MUST be located within the obscure town of Port Costa, the Bull Valley Roadhouse is a superior eatery in every way.

Every time I visit home (the Bay Area) I make a trip to The Warehouse. It’s nice being able to come back home and know they’ll still be open for good drinks and some nostalgia. The drinks were great and just about everything has stayed the same. They still even have a arcade cabinet still.
If you’re in the area, make a stop here for a good time and a drink. They serve food as well but we just ate before we stopped. The menu looks good with reasonable prices.
A live band also started playing around 130pm which was nice too.
My only issue is there’s no outside drinks or food allowed. Kind

The low stars are due to the attitude of the one employee that was working there Saturday 05/29:2021. We arrived about ten minutes before their opening hour. There was a male employee sitting outside smoking a cigarette and about 2 minutes after they opened he said he would go check and save if the bar was open. He never came back to let us know. We finally walked in with about ten people behind us. Walked up to the bar and said are you open and they said yes we opened at 10. Then I said are you seating and giving menus? The lady that I thought was a waitress standing at the bar talking basically

Place is awesome food is great. Excited to try the rest of the dishes they serve because I hear the cook makes great food especially the prime rib.
I had the corned beef and cabbage plate that was 15 bucks per plate. Came with mashed potatoes and carrots.the sauce was some sort of lemon cilantro mayo or ranch sauce but it was tasty.cook says she cooked 140lbs of corned beef and it was gone in about 5 hours or so . The beer is always fresh none of that stale skunked stuff here! You can try like 250+ different beers here but on tap they carry lost coast white shark, lost coast indica, sierra nevada

My friend mentioned that this was a pretty cool place to eat so we decided to try it. The drive was interesting as we drove through a single lane road twisting around the hills headed towards the coast. On arrival, it was a very small town with only about 10-15 businesses along their "Main" St. It is very quaint and the building are pretty old and rustic. Parking is limited but it seems not too many people end up there.
Anyway entering the restaurant is through the bar entrance and head to the bar to order your food or drink. The food menu is on placards placed on a table just in

I have never had a meal here. The place is a dump. The yard is a dump. The yard is full of old broken down junk tables, chairs etc. . yesterday we went in, mainly desperate for a bathroom. We all ordered a blood Mary and sat out in the "yard" and each one of us, the first sip of the drink, said "I don't like this." The bloody mary mix was not good. . The bartender makes "doubles" but no one got any "buzz" from the drink. Hmmm. I would never eat there.

McGowan rd, wish I had a road like this to a place like this at home! I was there during the last band of the 2018 season. Doors were open, band was playing and drinks were flowing, what else do you need? Yes the kitchen was open, think I had a sandwich, yup, but didn't go for the food. It was a sunshiny day outside, Plenty of seats, plenty of dancing, joyous patrons. Cars motorcycles trucks, everyone is welcome though personally I would leave the kids at home. Be warned... They pour doubles, hmmm
Do I recommend? Absolutely at least once, just my opinion
