Hotel Los Gatos

My husband and I love to stay at this boutique hotel when we're in town visiting family. Staff is friendly, rooms (and beds) are comfortable, clean and the property is well maintained.

I just received an email stating that my guest stayed at this hotel (last month - November), and they tried to charge my card for $715, can you say extortion.

1. My guest didn't stay at this hotel, so services are not rendered.

2. The reservation was made in September for two nights (1/14 & 1/15) in January 2022.

I'm extremely disappointed, appalled, disgusted, and offended.

This is reckless and unprofessional.

The location is great, the property is nice, there's EV chargers, and a water filter system right next to the pool. All in all, the amenities are good. But, the room was awful, and the options in Los Gatos are minimal. The only positive thing that I can say about our room was how dark we were able to make it, otherwise: the mattress was horrendous, close to NO support, it was like sleeping directly on springs. The sheets are cheap and itchy, the carpet probably hasn't been changed in 20-years. The heater is noisy, you can hear the plumbing in the neighboring units, and on and on...Probably

We were really excited when we booked our King bedroom suite with balcony. Little did we know right outside was a service door that slammed shut hundreds of times ... anytime an employee uses it. It was a 100 person holiday party and they had rattling carts of plates from 11pm-1am killed any relaxed vibe we were going for. Good coffee though, we needed it the the next day. Staff was always very kind which helps take the sting off not sleeping at all. They offered to move us which is great if you haven't already settled and it's 12am with a toddler.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Pretty and quaint yes. The restaurant is great but NOT connected to hotel. Hotel has NO FOOD service not even coffee and a piece of toast in the morning. NO WIRELESS service. And you’re paying a high price for a quaint room and change of sheets. Those business meetings you see in the pics must get a dif deal because of Silicon Valley. They tell you two coffee shops across the street but across the street is relative to how FAR you are willing to WALK when you’re hungry at 8am or 8 pm. Always check hotel out before booking. Smart ppl are probably staying at a Hilton or Marriott

This has always been my 'go to' hotel for doing business in this area, coming from the north Bay. this has been my 'go to' hotel. This hotel has a restaurant that I loved (Dio Deko), BUT the hotel and restaurant have lost sight of the value and quality they have provided for years, and now it just seems to be declining. I hope not, but after my last 2 stays this is what I have concluded -- I hope it can improve.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found carpet beetles in my bedsheets. Shockingly bad experience. See attached photo of one of the carpet beetle larvae that I found in my sheets. The irony is that I'm allergic to carpet beetles. So now my luggage and clothing are outside in my driveway. I don't want to risk bringing the eggs or bugs into my home. I'm totally grossed out. Will never stay here again.

Way cuter than expected! I wouldn’t say it’s luxury like they claim but it’s cute and charming and had everything we needed for a weekend wedding stay. Staff was all super nice.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I WANNA MOVE IN!!!! It's so romantic and picturesque. If you want to do a staycation I recommend choosing this place. Nestled beautifully in downtown Los Gatos and just steps away from shops and restaurants. They have a quaint pool and jacuzzi area for your pleasure as well.

My husband and I were catching a show at Mountain Winery on a Sunday so instead of taking Monday off I just booked a room. I believe they have a restaurant on site so that's convenient. Check in was a breeze. Parking was plentiful.

The buildings and property transports you out of California

Wonderful hotel located at great location. Quiet rooms, nice pool, well decorated. Excellent onsite restaurant. Walking distance to nightlife and brunch destinations. Across the street from a park like setting.

After many years this is still a special restaurant to celebrate an event or a special evening. The main dining room remains formal, the food is exquisite, and the service is still astounding with just the right combination of thoughtful and well-trained staff. We have enjoyed many milestones here, and it is definitely worth the try!

This is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of the quaint town. The rooms and grounds are very nice and relaxing. I had an issue on check-in but the manager, Brian, turned it into a win and we received excellent service every step of the way!

Calling this hotel's customer services representative was awesome. He answered all of my questions without any hidden flaws. I am very grateful that I was able to book my reservations on time. Their people were very accommodating, friendly, and polite. I need to come back because it's a good one. Cheers!

Check-in was delayed as they were giving priority to a wedding party for their choice of rooms over first come first serve. We did arrive early although on a Monday figured that might not be an issue. We went to lunch and came back about 2:30-3 and it still wasn't ready. We waited until about 4 when they let us know it was ready for check in. We booked a suite which was nice although could use some slight updating. From the website I thought our suite would have a nice balcony over the pool which is what I requested but what we received was a small cramped balcony over the parking lot. They

The hotel is beautiful and the room/bed was clean and comfortable. The area has good food and shops within walking distance. However, the staff and lack of services provided were disappointing to say the least. The “guest services” and operator never answered phones, we had to get our own additional amenities, and with the restaurant being closed they could have provided something additional (wine and cheese hour, etc) for guests. They need to match their services with their upscale price.

I usually don't post any reviews but I was part of a wedding in the end of August. The service was horrible and food was lacking in taste. When I ask for things or have questions I i'm nice to the staff because it is a hard job in itself to be in that line of work. The waiter was trying to be accommodating when I asked if there were anymore chairs but his supervisor who was a women i don't know her name very rudely told him to tell me to grab it myself since i'm able body. Fabulous! Charming old World suites in rooms with balconies. Many overlook the internal courtyard with Cantina lights and diners enjoying a glass of wine below. They have done a very nice job balancing the old world building with enough space to navigate and relax. The Ivy covered front is beautiful. The service is professional and the facility very clean. They have a pool and Jacuzzi available as well as a fitness center. You can walk to several different restaurants for breakfast. You'll probably want to enjoy dinner right at the hotel at their restaurant which has outside seating. Quaint

This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed at Hotel Los Gatos, and the second time we have stayed since quarantine .

I know that the service industry has been hit hard over this last year, as I was unable to work for most of 2020- so I try to not write bad reviews...but ....

This hotel in previous visits , is our gem of a getaway, our reprieve from the hectic East Bay and a great way to spend a couple of days chilling, swimming, eating and walking downtown. It was ALWAYS 5 star in past visits.

This trip was different.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which is conveniently within walking distance from downtown. We got breakfast from the purple onion on 2 mornings and had dinner around the area, with parking conveniently near our room. Didn't have to worry about leaving because parking here is free, staff is friendly and the vibe was chill during covid when I came here back in July.

We will be back, that's for sure. Originally I was looking online for places to stay and this location came up. I had called and spoke to Brooke to enquire about their room and in room massage package. Unfortunately because of our friend RONA lol massages are off the table for now. But she was able to help me book a room.

I had explained this was our first trip away from having our toddler for a night! Two years and this was finally our first night away from her lol. It was amazing. Anyways, I wanted to surprise my husband with this getaway. Brooke went above and beyond to assure our visit

We absolutely loved spending our anniversary at Hotel Los Gatos! The Alma Suite was more amazing than we could have asked for. They even spread rose petals throughout the suite and had a chilled bottle of… champagne waiting for us. We were thrilled with the cleanliness throughout the entire hotel and quite pleased with everyone’s polite nature. Everyone that greeted us, wished us a happy anniversary...from front desk, room service, to restaurant staff.

Awesome getaway location for couples and friends. Plus, we got married at this hotel, which was amazing. Lovely spot!

If your looking for a great getaway Hotel location - Look no further than Hotel Los Gatos..!! This is our go to place to just go and relax... Everything is within walking distance and there is so much to do. Combine the stay with a visit to Mountain Winery and you will be back again and again..!!

P.S. I'd like to change my review. There was a sign at checkin that stated if you wrote a review and/or 'checked in' on FB you would receive a $10… credit. Well, I never did. The hotel itself is ok, but the jacuzzi was gross with dirt and insects. They did clean it after I got up and went in to complain. Our room was very hot, and we're not huge fans of running the AC at cold during the night. We opened our window a bit and subsequently got very little sleep as our room backed up onto a noisy parking lot, and some type of loud
