Our practice was begun in 1977 by Robert Craig Bridgeman, DMD, in Boone, North Carolina. In 2006, his son, Robert Herrick Bridgeman, DDS joined the practice. With several other dentists in the Bridgeman family lineage, we can say we have been providing outstanding dental care to our patients for over 100 years.
Dr. Craig and Dr. Robbie are proud to carry on that legacy. We offer virtually all the dental services in the realm of general dentistry including, but not limited to cleanings, oral cancer screenings, fillings, crowns, bridges, restoring implants, root canals, simple extractions, and dentures. Our primary focus is in the area of restorative dentistry- fixing, repairing, or replacing lost or broken down teeth.

Robert H. Bridgeman, "Robbie, " grew up in Boone, North Carolina. After graduating from Watauga High School in 1998, he majored in biology for three years at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He continued his study of biology at Appalachian State University for one year before his acceptance into the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, graduating in 2006.
Our practice is committed to providing the highest quality care for each individual patient, in a manner as non-invasive as possible, designed for long-term health, comfort, function, and esthetics. We seek to establish a friendly, compassionate, and secure environment that provides the finest dental care possible.
Restorative dentistry is that discipline which pertains to the repair and/or replacement of the natural dentition. Although restorative dentistry is not a recognized specialty within the dental profession, it is the area in which our practice has chosen to focus its mission. The scope of restorative dentistry is quite broad, encompassing everything from simple fillings to major oral reconstruction and rehabilitation.
Much of the dentistry that we do is simply to repair or replace previously done dentistry which is no longer serviceable. Here is an example of some old silver amalgam restorations which, as you can see, have fractured. Ideally, these restorations would be best replaced with gold, or a ceramic material, however for economic reasons the patient elected to simply replace them again with amalgam.
The Bridgeman family and the dental profession have been linked for over 100 years. George Bridgeman, of New Martinsville, West Virginia, graduated from the School of Dentistry at Western Reserve University (now Case Western) in 1899. He returned to his hometown and established his general practice where he continued to provide services to his patients until his retirement in 1963.

Dr. Robbie and his entire team (Debby, Lauren, Tara, Nicole, and other members) is professional and has provided me world-class dental care in Boone since 2020. I strongly recommend him and Lauren to all my friends and family. His entire team is friendly, passionate, professional, and highly skilled. Unlike other competitors, Bridgeman Dentistry never asks for positive reviews. There is a reason why this 44-year business is running so well. Come and check it out by yourself.

I just called from Raleigh, NC to get some help for my son who is a student at App. The first person I spoke with was very nice and seemed to be will to help. She said she was going to the front to get on her computer. After a second another person answered the phone. She didn't seem to know why I was calling so I inquired about whether she was the same person I was speaking with. She was very rude to me so I asked for a manager. She then stated I was speaking to the manager. I told her that I thought she was being rude and she should work on that. Her tone never changed so I told her to disregard

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was VERY nervous to go in because I had no idea all the issues I would have. Finding a dentist in this area without copious amounts of horrible reviews was tough. Making an appointment was very easy and they got me in within a week. The staff was fantastic and every person I interacted with was very friendly. They did an exam and explained every step to me, didn't talk down to me and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable. They made a dental plan for me and talked over all my options and kept pricing in mind. The prices are a SMALL few dollars
