Services
Everyone needs companionship and stimulation to feel alive and engaged in life and this is especially true for seniors as the pace of their lives slows and their independence wanes with an increasing need for physical assistance and the managing of their health issues.
Struggling alone, or even in a multi-generational home environment can be isolating without the company of peers to add a sense of commonality to life and a supportive environment addressing the concerns of the elderly.

The most common misconception about the elderly is that they spend their days managing their physical health issues. The reality is that most of the elderly spend their days dealing with mental health, in the form of helplessness, loneliness, and boredom for most, and a spectrum of dementia for many.
I visited several facilities before deciding on Solano Life House. The administrator, Mary and her staff are very welcoming and caring. From the first day, my mother has felt at home at Solano Life House. She has actually gotten better since she came to live at Solano Life House. Although she has only been here a short time, she interacts with everyone and the staff is very caring with her.

Solano life house is a wonderful place to have person you care for live and be cared for. The staff is very kind and professional when dealing with people in there care. We saw them give a hug when the people needed it.
The rooms are very clean and kept up to a very high standard. Our friend liked the food very well, she gained weight and she did need to.
If needed, I would place any member of my family in SolanoLifeHouse.

To the staff at Solano Life House. I have a dear friend who is a new resident in your Facility. She seems Happy and says she's very Happy there. The Staff seem to be very caring, helpful and experienced in assiating the residents. I am sure most of them would rather be in their own homes but at this stage in their lives, they are fortunate to have a place like yours to call home. It's very clean and well kept. Thank all of you for your care, hard work and the service you provide not only for their Families but Friends as well!

I would highly recommend this facility for anyone that is looking for a home for their loved ones. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and will to go the extra mile for each and every resident. As an employee I love working with everyone, team players, everyone helps each other. If you’re looking for a place to feel at home and also love to interact with people then this is the place for you. You get that one on one time with the residents while working. Everyone is very supportive and willing to help you if you need it.

My father in law lived here for just under three years and we were all very happy with the great caregivers who treated him like extended family. Even more importantly, he loved it there because of the kind and personable staff. The staff to residents ratio is higher than the corporate owned care homes we toured and the administrator at SLH is very focused on making the care personal. We saw fancier care homes, but none had the quality of care or personal attention here. We were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Solano Life House and the added bonus is that they charge

I currently work at Solano Life House and have never had such a rewarding work experience. When I leave at the end of the day I feel fulfilled and look forward to seeing the residents the next day. The staff is truly a team. Of course not all jobs are perfect and there are days when we all grumble, and may be short staffed, but even then we pull together (Management included) and get through the day.
Solano Life House believes in pet therapy, music therapy, and taking care of residents and each other. Hugs are very abundant and freely given.
When looking for a care facility you will be pleasantly

The building itself is a senior living home, has 19 rooms for its residents, an employee bathroom, a med room, a laundry room, kitchen, employee break room, another office, dining/ activity area and as you walk in is the desk, and sitting area to the right. There's also a nice outdoor space you can see from the dining area. When I worked there a few years ago it was under different owners so I can't really say anything about the staff there now, but if you are considering living here or putting a family member here, do your research, compare other places, show up unexpectedly to take a look around

Have you ever realized that by making mistakes we learn so much more about what is actually right? By making the right decision we may never know how right it was or why it was right? I'm learning this lesson over and over again including with my mom and the choices I am now forced to make regarding her care. For anyone in Northern California with parents needing dementia care Solano Life House is a wonderful place. It doesn't look fancy because it isn't. In fact I originally placed her elsewhere because it felt a bit too institutional and stark for what I thought my mom would want. She is there
