Services
A behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid hooks over the top of your ear and rests behind the ear. A tube connects the hearing aid to a custom earpiece called an earmold that fits in your ear canal. This type is appropriate for people of all ages and those with almost any type of hearing loss. Traditionally has been the largest type of hearing aid, though some newer mini designs are streamlined and barely visible.

Dr. Pronesti is not only an expert audiologist but also an amazing caring person. You never feel rushed, he takes as much time as is needed to make all the correct adjustments. He is available by phone and email and addresses all your concerns. He even took the time to send me a technical articles when I had some questions about directional hearing aids.
Unfortunately there are only 5 stars to recommend Dr. Pronesti, he deserves many more! I'm so fortunate to know him and look forward to future appointments!

Dr. Pronesti fitted me with Widex hearing aids 4 years ago Unbeknownst to us the company was going through a lot of changes which impacted my satisfaction. We switched to Signia 7Nx and connected it to my iPhone. It was the perfect solution and I am still wearing them. Dr. Pronesti stuck with me through these tough changes until we were both satisfied with the results.
I highly recommend his services especially if this is your first experience using hearing aids and need the added support.

Best in CT, and best prices in CT, if not in the whole country
My old hearing aids died in January, so I have been looking for a new hearing aids for a little while. In my search I have come across number of Audiologists and Hearing Aids Specialists, but none of them are as good, or as easy to get in contact with as James Pronesti is!
My biggest pet peeve with any Audiologist and Hearing Aid Specialist is that they post their phone number so we can call them, it's like they are not realizing that "hard-of-hearing" means "has hard time hearing", and most likely prefers email communications. The

He is very knowledgeable, and will seek out the very best hearing aids for you, and program them to your satisfaction. It is most reassuring to be able to have a professional audiologist you are totally comfortable with, and James Pronesti is that person.
