The cost of the home inspection is $300.00 and takes approximately two hours to complete. Howard uses the latest computer technology providing an accurate radon read in one hour which is performed during the inspection while Howard is on-site.

Howard encourages you to attend your inspection, and if you do, dress appropriately for the weather and possibly getting a little dirty. Make arrangements ahead of time to ensure full access to the house and that all the utilities are turned on. Be sure the owners are aware of the inspection appointment (usually done by the your realtor).

Super old school, uses a 30 page check list, no pictures or explanations, you get what you pay for. Older nice gentleman but didn’t do much in attic or on roof. Decent report but not up to todays standards as we found a bunch of things he didn’t discuss or note on the report. Again he was $300 most are $600 so my fault.

Contacted Howard late one night via phone and he took the time to pull over from his drive and talk to me about an inspection. Small thing, but I appreciated him taking the time on the spot to get our inspection on the books.

We were first time home shoppers looking in the Lansing area. Casey Home Inspection arrived on the scene to inspect a house we put our first offer on. He told us from one glance the listing was inflated there was no way two bedroom would legally fit in the attic space. He didn't charge us. We consulted him again when we found a new place. He was honest, knowledgeable, and patient. In the home-buying business it was refreshing to have someone on our side.

I'm a first time home buyer, and Casey was very helpful. He answered all the questions I had, looked at anything I had concerns about, and gave a very detailed review of all his findings, including the immediate recommendations he had. He was able to make comments on the quality of the appliances/HVAC in the house, and give recommendations of how to handle some plumbing, and gas lines in the basement. I'm very happy with the work he did, and would definitely recommend!

I searched for and found what I thought was the perfect home as far as I could tell, I looked beyond the negative reviews in hopes that the good would outweigh the bad. I called the number on a weekend thinking I would leave a message, much to my surprise Howard picked up the phone.. Long story short after Howard had inspected the home he found multiple areas that I totally missed, I'm a bit of a handy man and don't have a problem fixing smaller things, I was able to use Howard's findings and knowledge to negotiate a better price. Howard has completed multiple inspections for my private home purchases along with assisted my buyers during their home inspections. Howard is through, provides a detailed inspection report, works hard to explain any issues that come up with the buyers and has a great understanding of MI code. Many times Howard has taken extra time with buyers concerned about issues explaining to them the options they have for repair and working to find the best solutions. Howard Casey deserves a zero ratings, zero recognition. Not only could he not spot mold, but licked the mold and told me and my landlord it was paint, but, he will charge a $300 inspection fee nonetheless. He is not qualified to inspect your home when your health is a priority, unless, you want someone who will show up late to appointments, speak to you rudely, argumentative, and will choose not to listen to his customer's concerns or questions. I had Howard Casey inspect my home in November of 2015, and I am now selling the home. It was inspected yesterday and I have been informed of two major issues that Casey missed. One was the fact that our bathroom exhaust fan did not vent to the outside and created moisture in our attic. This should have been obvious. But the major thing is his phony radon tests are "included" with the inspection. The reason a real radon tests cost more in addition to your inspection is because the inspector has to bring it out and set it up 48 hours ahead of time. Casey only runs his testing machine in the 3 hours

Howard blew us away with his professionalism and attention to detail. He happily walked us through every square foot of our prospective house, and not only did he point out anything he noticed, he gave us a very candid assessment of what required professional attention and what we likely could do on our own. His knowledge of nearly every aspect of a house is simply astonishing, and he is a very pleasant gentleman with which to deal. That he has more affordable prices than most is only icing on the cake.
