Camping here was kind of a mixed bag. There was no clear divider lines for the neighboring camp lots so anybody can (and had) walked right into your camp to get around, the restrooms were hardly clean (I almost preferred to go in the woods), and the showers were quite run down and probably needed to be updated.
The biggest issue I had was how far you have to travel to get supplies if you were careless enough to forget anything (not to mention their lacking and overpriced store that only accepts cash). I understand that camping is a traditional thing, but the campgrounds could stand to be a bit

We stay here at least once a year with family. Close to Silver Lake Sand Dunes with the added benefits of an adorable little town. One of the best small, public (non-state) parks in Michigan. Kayaking , fishing and other activities on site, and wifi good enough to stream the British Baking Show 😄🥧 🍪

RV camping review.
From E. Main Street we entered on Eastern Park Rd in a 38' class A where the brown park sign indicated to enter. The road is dirt, but it was smooth.
Alternately you can enter on Woodlawn Avenue, just be sure to NOT drive under the arch. Right at the arch hook a right on Kathryn Street, then left on Eastern.
The park is mostly occupied by full timers and looks it as such but is not too junky aside from a few RV's. That said, our stay was quiet enough and peaceful. Oddly every morning around 2am or so a noise starts up from what sounds like a manufacturing operation and goes

Nice sites, but bathrooms not cleaned or restocked fully. Sanitary trashes weren't emptied daily, even when full. Shortly after cleaning, stalls were fully out of toilet paper. The plus side is the showers have a lot more space than the state park campgrounds.
Also, there was trash dropped on an empty site that was left for 3 days before they cleaned it up.

We camp seasonal here, love it. Sits on Hart lake. Small quiet campground. And the managers are very nice people. Ten minutes from the silver lake sand dunes entrance. And Hart has much to offer. The campground itself is clean and well kept. The bath house is newer with large showers. We really enjoy camping here.
