Great staff and very friendly people. Nice working and clean facilities. Nice location, not to far from Lewis farms, Country dairy and Lake Michigan.

Nothing fantastic. Nice shade, but so much shade no grass can grow. You camp on dirt.
Some of the sites are very big and some are very small. We were in 40 and it was very, very small. I've never seen such a wide variation in camp site sizes.
Our campsite had burned aluminum foil on the ground and other trash. They obviously don't pick up between campers.
Very trashy around the dumpster with abandon bicycles, lawn equipment... junk.
Three stars is likely one star too many, but it is a good location.

This is a great campground for a family and those with small campers. It is very wooded with very narrow roads. I could not back my 42ft 5th wheel in and unhitch without crossing into the neighboring sites which was a problem because it had a vehicle parked on the site and the owners were not around. The camp ground called the owners and had them come move it. We saw another smaller 5th wheel and motor home struggle to get in and out of these small heavily wooded sites. Besides that it was a great quiet campground

We stayed for a week...labor day +6. There are so many trees....let me repeat..SO MANY TREES that very little sun is available even on a sunny day. And there is nothing but sand!! Our rig has sap all over the roof and sides and we are not happy about it.
Owners are nice people but if they want campers to take care of their property, I would hope they would want to respect our property and thin out the trees.
If you like dirt, yellow jackets, no sun and a dirty rig, go here. Too expensive for what they offer.

I highly recommend Stony Haven! We took our two little ones on their very first camping experience and figured that cabins would be a wiser choice than tent camping. Our cabin was super clean and a perfect size for the four of us. The kids loved sleeping on the bunk beds. They also enjoyed exploring near the pond that our cabin overlooked. The family that runs the campground were incredibly kind and helpful. The campground offers a playground for the kids, clean showers, and boat rentals. The kids loved going out on a kayak for the first time. The location is amazing! There is a fun lake across

Owner was nice and helpful upon check-in. Once checked in those running the campground are never seen, no one drives through to check on things. Sites are small, very sandy and wooded. Price for full hook-up was reasonable and location was great (near Pentwater and Silver Lake). Highly recommend checking out Stony Lake Inn-great food!

The perfect campground for kids. Lots of trees for shade. Never woke up too hot in my tent. Management is super pleasant. Felt very safe during our stay. Close to a lot of fun stuff to do. Cleanest bathrooms you will ever find camping.
