Do not move here! This building has not had pool, gym or hot tubs for 2 years now, but they are included in your lease and you **will be charged** full rent for them! They respond to every bad Yelp review with fake concern and an email address to contact-- but no one ever replies to you from that email address. (Let's see if they do it to this one.) Management sent an email on 12/7/21 that the pool and other amenities will not be repaired **anytime soon** so RUN, don't walk, to a better building!

I lived here for about four months out of a 12 months lease. When I signed up I was shown a swimming pool, common areas, a gym, you name it. After I moved in I found out the swimming pool was gonna be under maintenance for the full length of my lease. After COVID hit, the common areas were shut down. Throughout my time there alarms would go off non-stop at all times. Dogs organic matter was strewn into the hallways non-stop day in and day out. They are so desperate for money they would charge you if you leave your trash bin out on a Thursday rather than a Friday. The place looks like a jail, feels

Updated review, wanted to rate the apartment itself, rather than the neighbors I had over a year ago :)
The management is very supportive and has been on top of everything during the pandemic.
The staff is there for the residents and always takes care of their needs in a very timely and understanding way.
The apartments are very nice and spacious, and very fresh since the building is only a few years old.
There are a few schools and a preschool opening right behind the community, so it's a big plus with families with children.

It's frustrating how many times they insist on entering units--management or contractors. I understand there are required inspections, but they need to be consolidated. They don't specify what date they are coming but give a range of dates. That means I have to move items and rugs, etc. out of the way multiple times and then plan on cleaning when I get home each time, however I won't know which day they came in. For example, they just did unit inspections last week for five days in a row. And today I receive an email that there are more inspections (and described as "invasive

The tour scheduling form online is a joke. After selecting a date and time online, I filled in everything requested on the form, e.g. name, desired move in date, and unit size. A few days later they emailed me asking everything all over again. Not the best service, but it's fine, no big deal.
So I answered their questions in the email. They confirmed my appointment on the scheduled date and time.

I am back to update my review. I've been a resident here since 2018. I haven't had no issues, even after two units. You have your ups & downs with properties, as people have to be mindful how many people really live on the property, the types of residents, pets, etc. Things can happen that we can or can not control. Overall, I love the staff. Amanda is so kind & has been very helpful to the things I need & has great customer service. Everyone is friendly, even the property staff who keeps things clean & in order. I have no complaints & love it here. Specially the pool

After living here for two years, I can assuredly say that this place is a HARD NO! It's gotten decreasingly worse, and if not for COVID delaying my home buying plans, I would NOT have signed a new lease...but in 9 months, I'm OUT!

Let's start with the noise reverberation. Absolutely horrible. I can hear my upstairs neighbors walking around all day, I can hear my next door neighbors making dinner, and I can hear the apartment complex across the street having conversations on the balcony.

Sorry but given recent events I'm going to downgrade this quite a bit. My car got broken into and given the recent communications and some broken glass here and there I believe this is a real problem.
Security is the most important thing. If people can just walk into the garage and do whatever they want, then why advertise a "close community".
Also, I called security which arrived 1:36mins after I first called.
We've also been getting quite the lot of noisy neighbors.

Amazing property and more amazing is the staff. Always helpful and always on top of any little problem we might have without apartment. I use to live in The Vermont around the corner and the staff at K2LA is much better. Always clean and easy parking are a plus. Clean trash rooms. Never have seen a big or cockroach anywhere. Getting packages and food deliveries as well are easy with a security at the front door 24 hours. FOB keys for main entrance, elevators, and apt door are a plus, and make us feel safe. Metro is close also a plus! And great food everywhere. ++++

When I was searching the Seaport District for a rental, and after touring with Grace, I knew I had to look no further. VIA offered the perfect floorplan for me, and a bonus view and was available for the ideal timeframe. Grace was extremely accommodating, eloquent, and excited to welcome me to the property. The living experience has been wonderful and I have absolutely no complaints. It's a fantastic property for pet friendly living, the maintenance staff is diligent with common areas and the management team addresses issues with speed and understanding. Came to visit the community and fell in love! I meet and toured with Steven Swan and he was amazing he made me feel like I made the right choice to come and visit and tour! At the time there were no apartments available within my budget but Steven assured me that he would find me a new home and he did in less than 5 days!!! 2 thumps up for that guy!

Just renewed my lease for another year! I've enjoyed living at Berkshire Howell Mill, central location to Everything, and the office staff is Very pleasant to interact with, especially Steven! Anytime I've needed anything they have been right there to address it or take care of it! I also have loved the events that we have had in the clubhouse, especially the Holiday Dinner party, and the European Wine & Cheese night....looking forward to my stay here, and more events!

Moved in about a month ago and I am in love. The staff is super helpful and always kind, the building is gorgeous, and they take care of everything. When I moved in they were unbelievably accommodating and they check in regularly to make sure anything I need is done.

I just moved into the Via Seaport and what a great experience! The building and apartment are gorgeous and the leasing and management team are warm and gracious. They made the leasing and moving in process seamless. The amenities and public areas look like a Four Seasons and the other residents are really nice. I'm so happy that I made the move and am looking forward to being a resident for a long time!

Very negative experience from the first minute! I don't recommend to deal with these guys. They are liars! They post fake ads on craiglist with a fake price. When I called to check the price, the management just told me everything else but the price, all the pros of the apts and benefits. They were trying to avoid my direct price question. They think that their customers are stupid.
Their craiglist posting for 1 bedroom is for 2387$ and their real price is over 2600$. They are just wasting people's time, trying to provide the better fake price and let people come to check out the apartments

The first time I moved in, the electricity in my room wasn't working and the bathroom light fixture was broken. A year later, I just moved upstairs today because of the outrageous amount of noise I dealt with from my upstairs neighbor (wood floors aren't very forgiving). My new apartment had a dirty floor, glass everywhere in the bathroom due to a broken light, a broken pantry shelf, one track light out, and it looked like no one had cleaned it. Management brushed me off saying someone would come in later to clean (even tho it should've been already clean). Maintenance is amazing

While I enjoy the unit that I live in, the property managers are completely unhelpful. After myself and my neighbor had packages stolen during the holiday, they did not notify the other tenants to instances of theft.
When they sell you on the unit, they pump you on the building security. Please do not be misled, the building is not secure. Homeless people are frequently found sleeping in various parts of the building. I know two current tenants who had homeless people randomly walk into their units. Theft of property is frequent, and as previously mentioned, the managers do not even pretend

Absolutely, hands down the worst place I have ever lived! (I lived in behind razor wire in Papua New Guinea with 24/7 armed guards if that tells you something).
#1 The building construction is terrible - I hear everyone walking by my apartment and smell whatever they may be cooking for dinner.
#2 The management team - to call them that makes me laugh a bit. They honestly couldn't properly manage a Taco Bell.

Draconian rules and enforcement in the longest and most legal lease I've seen by far. $4,500 plus 2 months rent to end lease early. Not even a one day grace period for rent payment (due on 1st even on holidays). Refuses to pay cleaning contractors for months at a time. See dirty carpets and stairwells. Late and inadequate snow and ice removal from sidewalks. Broken fireplace on roof for almost a year. No cushions on seats on the roof. Cannot sublease or Airbnb your apartment. Cannot have more that two guests in common areas (aka, no double-dating). Made deal with local towing company to boot

We live in this luxury apartment building since April 2014. We chose a corner 1 bedroom unit facing the Redmond Town center for its lovely layout and the quiet location on the top 6th floor.
The heart of this property in Amy the manager of Elan Redmond.
There is nothing she wouldn't do to make sure residence are happy with the choice they made calling this place home.
Highly recommended.
