The Haven has catered quite a few luncheons for my workplace - from small team gatherings to events for a few hundred people. Our entire organization is excited every time they hear that The Haven is catering, because the food is fresh and delicious, and the Haven team always makes sure that they have options for all diets (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.).

Great ambient, prices are decent. The food is delicious. Proper Italian food. Customer service is also great. I go there at least twice a week since I discovered this gem. I've had their bruscettas, pizza, and their lasagna. All delicious! They serve draft beer and wines. Happy hour is from 3 to 6. I usually visit during happy hour and it's not so busy. It gets a little more crowded in the evenings though. Parking is easy enough. There's a lot right next to the place. But it might be harder on the weekends. Anyways. The food is delicious. Give it a try.

Visited Haven Pizzeria this week with a couple if friends. Restaurant was clean, service was fast, and food was excellent. We made our own pizza and it tasted really good. Mac and cheese was tasty as well. We will stop by to try the pastas.

Fabulous food! We got two cauliflower pizzas and a salad. The ingredients were fresh and local. Everything tasted homemade. The service was great. Their prices were reasonable. We loved that they can make almost everything on their menu gluten free. They also have tons of vegan and vegetarian options. We'll definitely be back!

The staff is great, friendly, and helpful. I really want to love this place since it's so close to us, but the food relative to the prices is underwhelming. I ordered a large Castro pizza if memory serves me well. The pizza crust seemed more like the frozen pizza you get at the store and it came with a giant pile of arugula on top. I love arugula but it was just kind of too much and was not seasoned in any way or even complementary to the pizza itself. I also don't mind mediocre pizza, but it was too expensive for the quality. I ordered some pasta for the kids and the Alfredo sauce was very lemony

The pizza here is usually quite good and I really like the wide variety of toppings. However, I'm leaving a two-star review because the pasta we had tonight was the worst I've ever had. My partner and I ordered a pizza and salad and those were fine-tasting, but my mother -in-law ordered the angel hair pomodoro and it was not only awful, but literally the worst pasta I've ever eaten. It was super clumped together and flavorless. The whole thing was clumped together. It seemed like they were close-ish to closing and they just threw the food together to get something out there. The

They've got a good selection/variety of pizza's, like a lot of places. But, they do pizza better. Far better. As in, all my life someone told me a lie about how a pizza was supposed to be. How so?
Crust, not thin, not thick, not doughy, not like day old bread. Crust was perfect. Ingredients - great slices of prosciutto that were thinly cut, but not overcooked. Seriously, some places put prosciutto on a pizza and then bake it a 3 trillion degrees

We have ordered from here a few times for pickup. Their pizza is really good. Fresh ingredients and great flavors. They also don't skimp on the toppings. If you order a brussel sprout pizza, you aren't getting a few shavings of brussel sprouts, that thing is loaded up - yum!
We also super appreciate the curbside pickup! It's tough to park in Kensington and being able to pull into the red curb in front and have someone bring your order to the car is a true lifesaver.

Second time they've lost our order for pick up... we try to support local businesses but they are too busy with pick up!!! They even told me to hold on as they were putting in our order. Came to pick it up and they claimed no one had "taken the order over the the phone" . I even asked if they got the order... so frustrating

I can not tell you how AMAZING Lisa and her staff were!!! I don't know why I order off those ubereats and post mates delivery places! I mean the trouble I go through.. I just need to go pick it up! The site didn't show the staff the extra items I had ordered readily and ubereats customer service number is pretty much totally crap! Unable to reach them! So missing my changed items on my order was frustrating but the staff at Haven pizzeria was AMAZING to help me out! It seemed like they understood my frustration over ordering through them and wanted to help. They did. THANK YOU!

Let's start by saying that this would have been a 4 or 5 star review if the service had been better. We went in around 5pm on a Tuesday. Waited more than a few minutes to be seated, as well as for someone to come help us. We sat outside, our dog had accompanied us. The server never offered any water for the dog (most places in Kensington do, happily), she didn't listen to our drink order and we had to ask her for a wine bucket, it was a pretty warm summer evening. I also do not believe she ever came back to see how our food was.

I ordered pizza from here before and it was amazing! Tonight was my first time dining in and decided to switch it up and try the pasta. We were immediately greeted at the door by a friendly employee. The place looked & felt very clean! Our service was excellent, very prompt and friendly. I ordered marinara with meatballs, it was good, but I would probably stick to the pizzas next time. If you are looking for a great pizza spot give this place a try I would definitely recommend it! Also, great service especially during challenging times like this it doesn't go unnoticed. I've been coming to this place althrougout covid, supporting local businesses and they have gotten worse with customer service! The phone just rings with no answer, so I decided to use their online ordering service Toast- come to find out they didn't even start firing our food- no courtesy call that they had no wheat dough either.. so dissatisfied with their personna to be bohemian and they are so botched now aways! won't be back after today.

After our last post, the owner, Lauren, reached out to us personally to apologize and do everything she could to make it right. We greatly appreciated everything she did and went back tonight for a re-do.
I must say, it was a total 180 from our first visit. We got the same pizza as our first attempt and it was amazing. Very flavorful and the dough was nice and fluffy on the edges. My boyfriend had the lemon shrimp Alfredo and I absolutely loved it (I didn't try the shrimp, as I'm not a fan of seafood, but the pasta and sauce was delicious).

Great tasting food, me my spouse and my 2 year old tried (shrimp lemon Alfredo, Dave’s meatballs, the Cesar salad, and BBQ chicken pizza) all 4 were good. We also left with pasta and chicken too; great service and polite women only one thing I wished was a little bit different was the timing of the food but the wait ensures quality so that’s why 4/5

I've been to the Haven many times over the last 5 years and my family love it! We always get the wedge salad chopped and tossed ;-)for my husband and I and a large pepperoni and sausage pizza for the kids and the toppings are always generous and delicious! We are always welcomed with a smile and always feel like a party of the Haven family. Other customers are also so kind and we usually strike up a conversation with those around us. It's a great neighborhood hang out! The beer they offer is always hand picked by our server or manager by what we tell them we are in the mood for.

We came in 30 mins before they closed. They seemed more concerned about closing than giving us service. The last customer should be treated as well as the first. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. This was BY FAR, THE WORST PASTA I'VE EVER HAD. First off, the "sauce" was very watery and was more of a noodle soup than a pasta. Next, there was ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR. It was basically noodles in white water. I had to ask for salt and pepper, just so I could taste something. The 3 pieces of shrimp in the pasta were equally disappointing. It wasn't the low amount of shrimp

This was the last place on my trip to San Diego I visited for dinner. I had the lemon garlic shrimp Alfredo (Thank me later) and the sangrias were strong & smooth! Everything was excellent. The staff was friendly and I loved the music. They made me feel at home. When I'm back I'll definitely be eating more of their food.

Wonderful neighborhood staple! Their service is attentive whether dine in or takeout. Their patio seating is quiet while in the midst of being on the main drag. We had the brussel sprouts (without bacon), and they were the perfect balance of soft and crunch. Liked the twist of blue cheese, haven't experienced that before. We had fun building our own pizza and loved the garlic sauce (SO good!) with drizzle of spice sauce (not to spice), mixed onions (great addition!). It was just good!

Super delicious, super crisp - Haven Pizzeria knows how to make a pizza. A pleasant surprise, however, is how freakin' delicious their salads are - specifically their house salad. I know, I know. You're here for pizza, who gives a flip about salads? Well, I hate salads. But this salad...there's something about how lovingly its tossed, how every leaf has a perfect sheen of just the right amount of dressing. And the croutons are things of beauty in their own right.
