I rented a beach cruiser for half day. It was 35 dollars. The bike was in good condition, the price is fair and the people are nice there. They only had beach cruiser and e-bike for rent. My only complaint is that they don't provide lock for the bike you rent....I had to buy one and they only sell one kind, which costs me 20 something. If you want to rent a bike, i suggest you check out the bike rental places in downtown Encinitas since there are more options and the money to buy a lock plus rental might give you a better option....

The last two times we have taken in our mountain bikes we have been charged for a service we didn't ask for and have been charged for service's that should of been included in the basic tune up. The guy up front has no idea what he is talking about and seems to make stuff up as he goes along. For years my biking friends have said only use this bike shop for services but I am finding as of late their service quality has greatly diminished. There are so many great shops around we will just move on.

Visiting the area on vacation and my husband's hybrid bike gets a flat. We stop at Leucadia Cyclery thinking we'd need to leave it there and get it the next day, but no. We were back on the road 20 minutes later. GREAT SERVICE!
The next day of riding and our friend's electric bike also gets a flat. Being electric and the back wheel this time we were sure it would take awhile, but no again! We were back on the road soon after.
These guys really know their stuff and could not be nicer.

Absolutely kindest and most honest shop in town!! I came in with a flat on my tubeless gravel bike. Not only did they immediately repair the tire, along with new rim tape, but they also fixed a droopy chain and a loose headset for me that they noticed was needed. I was so glad to meet Bryan the owner and Rocky whos been a bike mechanic since 1987. Top notch shop!!

Fantastic bike shop with great people working there. I bought an amazing bike from Ian who walked me through all the details, features, and care with expertise and kindness. Can't recommend these guys enough. They also provide great service for your bike and helped me out a bunch with shipping my bike as well.

Very knowledgeable, helpful, and in a convenient spot. The owner will make you feel stupid if you don’t know anything about bikes but still a good shop. UPDATE 8/1/20: Under new management/ownership again. None of the employees or patrons wearing masks. I’m not one of those people that feels unsafe in a situation like that but feel like it is generally disrespectful and shows a lack of care to the community so go somewhere else to support your local bike shop.

Was going crazy trying to find a certain E-Bike helmet I needed for work. All places where sold out or it was a special order that would take 2-3 weeks. I didn't have that time, I called several places till I found this place. Spoke to Rob who didnt think he had the helmet, but went and looked around the store till he found it. He than shipped it to me up here in Los Angeles and I got it in 2 days.
Big shout out to Rob for excellent customer service and going above and beyond to get the helmet to me.

If you love your bike, don't bring it here for repairs. They did a hydraulic brake bleed for me and in the process wrecked my brake pads and rotors by getting oil on the rotors. I had to buy new brake pads for both front and back ($90) as well as clean my rotors with rubbing alcohol.
The other crazy thing is that during the repair they lost my seat bag that was attached to my bike! Their work area is super messy so I can see how it may have gotten lost in the pile. So now along with the $90 I had to spend on new brake pads I have to buy a new $30 seat bag. I don't expect they stole

My chain broke while I was riding down the 101, cruised in, it was a busy afternoon they where able to help me get back on my bike in no time. Robby helped me out and he went above and beyond to talk over some issues with my bike and replacement parts. You can tell this company takes pride in what they do and it shows!!

After not receiving any call backs or appt time within reason from mobile service companies: made a quick phone call to leucadia cyclery as I am in the aviara area.
To my surprise Brian (from Cape town SA) picked up the phone and after a brief chinwag I was in the car and at LC within 10mins. Most other shops were quoting excessive turnaround during covid. Brian quickly had a look, diagnosed the problem and sorted me out while I waited in the shop. The service was impeccable and the pricing incredibly fair. Happy days, I highly recommend this shop

So this happened... My bike was stolen from my car, and two weeks later it was miraculously recovered. Almost in the same spot it was stolen....They destroyed the bike, it needed almost everything. I took it to the shop I purchased it at, and the cost for new parts ended up being more than the bike cost. Long story short, I was referred to Leucadia Cyclery, in Encinitas. They told me they couldn't make any promises,and they would call when they knew more. Erick also told me it would take a few weeks to finish. They have been in Leucadia from many many years and have always been able to solve any of our issues that we've had with our bicycles. They also do a wonderful job on tuning your bike up every year when you want to get it up and going again. I have been going to Leucadia Cyclery for years and would not go anywhere else. Fred has always been fair and honest, and provides very good value. I trust him and his word to tell me exactly what I do and don't need. The work the shop has done on my bikes over the years is also always good quality; those who work in this shop definitely know what they're doing. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!
