Virginia was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to James and Ruth Soisson. She was also predeceased by her sister, Maxine Hensel. Virginia and Donald were happily married for 51 years. They were married in Ft. Meyr, Virginia where Donald was serving in the US. From a very early age, his siblings remember Jim as someone they could trust and rely on.
Our staff is committed to providing support, compassion, information, and direction as needed to all members of our community, their families, and friends who are dealing with loss and grief. Annette McCoy was born in Chicago where she received a Catholic school education, graduating from high school in 1987.
Having served thousands of families during the years we've been in business, we realize how difficult it is for people after the loss of a loved one. We understand that planning a funeral involves making difficult decisions at a very emotional and highly charged time. We also understand that a funeral service doesn't have to cost a fortune.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

My daughter found McCoy funeral home once we knew my father was going to die. Arrangements were made in advance. And late into the evening of his passing, Annette called me. She offered me solice, such kindness and the assurance they would take care of my father with dignity. Many weeks later Annette has stayed in touch and has been instrumental in getting further help for all of us. I highly recommend McCoy Funeral Home to everyone.

Recently my little brother in law passed away and I didn’t want my husbands family to have to deal with anything so I started the search to find the best funeral home possible that was reasonably priced and I found Annette and instantly felt like she was the one to trust with the care of my husbands brother. This is not something one ever intends to go "shopping" for so I picked the place closest to me and ran with it and I'm glad I did. Annette is truly amazing and one of the most gentle souls I've ever met. She took this seemingly horrid process and turned it into something to cherish and be proud of. For me I found McCoy family funeral a blessing. I had a child pass away and I became lost and feeling so under water. I called McCoy family funeral and the nicest lady ever began explaining the many options available to me. From day one, Annette went above and beyond to help in a time of great sorrow. She helped my family and me through the entire process of loss, mourning and most important… celebrating my wonderful husband’s life with the dignity that he deserved. Annett helped find a new casket last minute and went to great lengths to find a Flag when the local post office’s had none. These are just a few examples of the lengths she was willing to go to remove obstacles and relieve any stress. We really couldn’t have done it without her. Annette McCoy, thank you for everything.

Upon contacting McCoy Family Funeral Services, Annette was awesome with helping in our cremation services for my brother-in-law. She had a great attention in detail. My brother in law had donated his organs and we couldn’t get them back according to the organ donation place. Annette took the time to get all my brother in laws organs back after they tested positive for COVID-19. He got put to rest with all his body parts even though they were supposed to trash them. I wish I'd have known about her in the past, because we would have used her services immediately.

I cannot say enough how, Annette McCoy, of McCoy Family Funeral and Cremation, handled my father's funeral. He was honored in the most respectful and sincere way.
