Credit card, Paypal, checks, money orders, cash, they all work. Starting in 2021, I'm tacking 3% onto all bills paid by credit card or Paypal, as that is what I'm charged by my processor. If you would like to avoid this fee, simply include $85 CASH (no checks for this please, cash only), with your inbound fork, and I will bill you for the balance once the work is completed, no extra fee.

Jack and Hudson (Chinook #1), happily welcomed Mendon Cycle Smith customers for years. Friendly, laid-back and curious, they became part of the shop and its culture. His infectious, relentless positivity is a reminder to all, being a grouchy pants has serious consequences, that generally involve copious application of tongue slobber.

I've known Craig since the '90s. Excellent mechanic, knowledgeable and friendly. He's helped me out on many occasions and I would not hesitate to recommend him no matter what level cyclist you are or no matter how basic or complex an issue you have.

I called Craig because my son's bike's rear derailleur had snapped in half. Craig had the part in stock and I planned on leaving it with him over the weekend with the hope he would fix it early the following week. When i got to the shop, Craig told me he would fix it while I waited. Watching him work was impressive. You could tell he's been working on bikes for decades. He gave me the bike back with a new derailleur and cables, correctly adjusted, with tires refilled, in just minutes. And he was very reasonably priced.
I highly recommend Mendon Cyclesmith.

I just had an older Lefty fork serviced here. First of all, it's pretty hard to find a place that will work on older lefty forks - even Cannondale themselves told me they could no longer work on it. Mendon Cyclesmith took care of the fork quickly and for a very reasonable price (including return shipping!). Definitely the place to go if you're having issues with a Cannondale fork. They provide a unique service and are probably one of the only shops in the US that work on these types of forks (I sent mine from California).

I sent my cannondale headshok to mending cycle-smith. The headshok was shot. Craig said I would need to purchase new elastomer from a shop in New Mexico (which I did), then ship the headshok with the new elastomer. A week later, my 25 year old shock was shipped back to me and my old cannondale was ready to ride.
Thanks so much! This bike has sentimental value so I’m pumped to have the headshok back!

I have bought several bicycles and quite a bit of gear from Craig over the years and have always had a great experience at his shop. He clearly takes an interest in each customer and whenever I need advice or a tuneup he comes through with his knowledge and caring. He always makes his customers feel welcome and I really appreciate that.

I wish there were more shops out there like this. I called with some questions about having a vintage headshok serviced and unfortunately mine is not serviceable, but the owner is such a wealth of knowledge and answered all of my questions and went over my possible options. He was very friendly, personable and easy to talk to. If I didn't live 2700 miles away on the other side of the country, this would be my go to shop for sure.

You have done your research because you need your Lefty serviced and everywhere you look you hear about Mendon Cyclesmith. There is a reason why Craig has such a good reputation and you shouldn't give it much more thought, Craig is the one to go to period. I sent my 2005 lefty max from Bellevue WA and Craig was very communicative through the whole process, He fixed it in no time, he will NOT sell you something you do not need, the turn around times are super quick and OH MAN! I could not believe that was the same shock once I got it going at the bike park. Butter smooth lefty for years!

Craig walked me through what my Lefty needed done, his responses were very fast and his knowledge is impeccable. After figuring out that I needed a new lower leg, which Cannondale doesn't sell parts for independently, I am forced to go directly through Cannondale but Mendon Cyclesmith will be getting all of my business from here forward. You really can't go wrong if you bring your business here. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else, you've found what you're looking for.

I just had my 2009 PBR Max Lefty serviced by Craig. I say Craig, rather than "The Mendon Cyclesmith" because what you are going to receive is a very personalized, service experience. It's amazing to me that a shop this size, with such a prompt turnaround, can give personal responses to your queries in short order. My Lefty was only in his shop a week or so, and came back to me looking like it had been repaired by a jeweler. I bought my bike used, last April, and I was excited about having my first higher-end bike. It felt good to me, but I had no benchmark for comparison. The feel of the overhauled

Mendon Cyclesmith saves the day. I needed an aluminum nut that I could not find outside of the Cannondale network, which sells the nut as part of a kit with other parts I don't need.
In 2013, I shipped my damaged Lefty fork to Craig at Mendon Cyclesmith (who covers half the return shipping) for a $300 to $400 dollar repair/upgrade. After inspecting the fork, he found that the damage was not that bad, and that I only really needed a regular service, which saved me a couple hundred dollars.
Mendon Cyclesmith is the way to go for your Cannondale Lefty needs.
