Originally starting as Howard's Texaco on Anderson Lane in 1959, Howard Riethmeyer and his family built a solid foundation that continues to the present day. After Howard's death in 1989, his son Keith carried on the family tradition assisted by his sister, Sandy Schiller, and other family members.

Riethmeyer's did a great job replacing the clutch in 2004 Hyundai. Their estimate to do the job was fair and accurate. They were able to schedules my job in a very reasonable time frame and completed the job when they promised. The transmission and clutch work as well as it did when it was new, 16 years ago. I used their services before for another car I had and got the same great service.

I took my SUV in to do some warranty repair work on the air conditioning system. They were very helpful, dealt with the warranty company and got me in and out in 2 days. I suspect it would have been same day if they hadn't needed to wait for the warranty company to respond. Allen was very informative, knowledgeable truly understands what it means to provide excellent customer service. This is the first time I've used this repair shop and would not hesitate using them again.

I don't want to rate Riethmeyer's so highly because I want to keep it a secret, but these are just the best folks. If you've got a car, and it needs anything looked at, they'll treat you and your vehicle right. I've gone in a few times and I've never been to a mechanics shop that is so honest. They take pride in what they do, and it shows.

I am beyond happy with this company and team. No judgment, fair trade, happy employees. I had an emergency leak on my old Buick, and I had the fastest turnaround I've ever seen. As a woman looking for a trustworthy place to take my car, I am so glad I found Riethmeyer's. Terry and the guys in the front are so friendly and take the time to talk me through the entire estimate and make sure I understand the what's and whys. They make me feel well taken care of and are so honest. They're always going the extra mile when they have my car, fixing small stuff for free that they notice is out. Amazing service! My car wouldn't start at my office downtown and I called Riethmeyer's Auto Repair to find out what I should do. They gave me the name of a tow truck guy they use and he picked up immediately and my car was on his truck within the hour. In the morning they were able to give a quick diagnosis while also doing a thorough check of anything else. Super reliable and honest and I feel so lucky to have them as my mechanic!

I've been here many times over several years -- several of my colleagues too. Honest and to the point. Never had a problem with their work. Dealer said I've to replace break pads and these guys said no you are ok for another 7k miles! Honesty!
Always helping nature. I called in for advice several times, and I was never disappointed...once I spoke 10 to 15 minutes!!! Really appreciate their patience and willingness to help the customer (they did not even check whether I'm their customer or not!!! felt super good! Good people!). I will definitely recommend them!

Shawn has been the mechanic for my company vehicles for many years. I met him when he was working for those other guys. At that time the maintenance expense for my fleet were quickly cut in half due to the quality service under Shawn's direction.
When he left those other guys, unbeknown to me, I noticed a sudden decline in turn around and quality. Fortunately I found him at his new endeavor operating as Reithmeyer's Auto Repair, several years ago.

Always the best, always on point, always fair. These guys have fixed multiple cars for me multiple times. I never feel like I paid too much, I never feel like the problem was misdiagnosed. I always walk out feeling well taken care of. I've been in the shop while they fixed something for free for a lady once, just because it was simple to them (but not to the layman). I wanna start off by saying all the people i interacted with while I was here were extremely friendly and nice. However a story told toooooo often they tried to rip me off BAD. My air conditioner stopped working a few weeks ago and I took it to them within a day or so and they checked it out and told me that it was an electrical problem and explained it but I obviously I only understood the main point. They quoted me at $400 plus dollars and told me my car would be there about a week. I waited a few days for my dad to come back into town and look at it and a fuse blew. A FUSE! I spent less than

A couple years with the new owner (Shawn) and this place has not only continued to be a first-rate operation, but it's gotten even better! Shawn & Terry & the staff have made the inside waiting lobby so customer-friendly and spacious, with comfortable furniture, access to electric outlets and nice TV.
As always, Shawn, Terry and the staff are "real"..they never pull the "you need this, this and this fixed" if you dont need it fixed. Women who don't know much about cars should feel comfortable bringing their car here.

A bit frustrated with the shop. Brought in my older Tahoe for a radiator problem. They replaced it, but it turned out to be a bad unit. Understandable, but it took 3 visits to get it right. (And 3 times getting rides, taking time from work, etc.) I've also had front end problems with steering and noise. Asked them to look. Was told, "Don't see any problems." Took it to another shop and they inspected the truck with me and found the problems quickly.

I was highly disappointed with this auto repair shop. I was very professional in communication the entire time, and the staff was as well. However, I felt very taken advantaged of when I had a diagnostic done on my car. I was charged over $200 to run a diagnostic on my vehicle because apparently it took them 2 hours to perform the diagnostic. I paid for it and was very professional. But I was quite annoyed. In addition, as a result of the diagnostic I was told that I "NEEDED" over 1K of work done for my car to PASS the inspection. Well, I received a 2nd and 3rd opinion from other mechanics

Brought my car here after it died one night not knowing of this company but it showed up as the closest repair shop and with good ratings. The tow truck brought my car there and the car was repaired the very next day. Thankfully they were able to work on it that fast. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and fix it pretty quickly. Their service is friendly and I believe to be honest.

This review is long overdue. I went to Riethmeyer's a few months ago after the guys at Autozone told me I needed a new alternator on my 2013 Honda CR-V. I was shocked and needed as second opinion. I called Reithmeyer's based on their Yelp reviews and the owner kindly offered to take a look free of charge. I took my car in the next morning, they looked at it right away and told me I didn't need a new alternator. They pushed a few buttons and the car's error messages went away. A few months later... the CR-V is working just fine!
