Bread Artisan Bakery is a family owned and operated bakery from Southern California. We encourage daily deliveries to ensure the freshest products in our restaurants and cafes. We are located in Santa Ana, CA. An Orange County native, Jonnie grew up with a love of sunshine, the ocean and fresh, natural food.
Her father, the family gourmand, dreamed of bringing an authentic old-world artisan bread to Southern California. His vision was realized when he formed our first bakery in 1995. When he passed away, Jonnie ended her career in advertising to carry on his dream. In 2010, BREAD artisan bakery was born.

Services
Our sourdough is our signature and our pride, using a centuries-old tradition of organically leavening the bread with a flour and water culture. We allow longer fermentation times to fully develop the flavor and texture. It's certainly not the easiest or fastest method, and whether you call us obsessive artisans or gluttons for punishment, we believe the result is worth the wait.

I rarely write reviews because normally is hard to find top quality food. I met these guys last Saturday at the Laguna Beach Farmer's market. The sourdough bread I bought was perfect. The 2 croissants, 1 chocolate and 1 strawberries were superb. The most real French-like quality I have found so far in OC. TOP BAKERY!

If you're looking for some good bread, this is definitely a place to try.
I went to the Patchwork Show Santa Ana Makers Festival this weekend and this bakery was there with a truck load of bread. They had a large variety of breads from Rye to fruit loafs. I was there a bit late due to walking around galavanting. I saw this bakery truck from the corner of my eyes and it seemed like a great idea. The best decision ever! I purchased a whole round of sourdough which was perfectly baked and just so good. (Made for an excellent dinner sandwich) The second loaf I bought was a fruit and nut bread
