I came in for oil change. I knew I had not put many miles since my last change. I was told the oil is clean and does not need changing yet.
I'm impressed with the honesty and the place in general. Nicest waiting area I have ever seen in auto shop.

I went there to replace a water outlet because it broke, and drained all of my coolant out, so I couldn't go far. It was the closest I to my house. I always look up the part I need so I can pretty much know what price range to expect. I expected somewhere around $200 to $250 labor and all. They charged me $455.79 to replace a plastic $35 to $80 part. I understand, because I work on cars too, that they have to replace coolant and all that, but $455.79 is too extreme for the repair done. That's more than half what it cost me to replace a fuel pump at a dealership. I looked at the invoice, and saw

I took my car to three different mechanics trying to resolve an issue where the car's idle would drop RPM significantly while sitting at a stop sign/light with the car in drive. Also was having intermittent issues with my car starting properly. Ultimately my battery completely died while I was driving back from a trip and had absolutely zero power once I parked.
I dropped my car off without an appointment and was given a ride home since I was within 5 miles. They got to my car the following day and to my absolute surprise and appreciation they figured out the issue was just a bad wire connecting

Better than we could have hoped to find, we will not be going anywhere else. Tapp's treats your vehicle like their own and treats you like family. My Jeep could not be in more capable and caring hands, she has 150k on her and drives like new after they dug deep and found the drive-chain issue, fixed any additional issues and worked with me the entire time regarding next steps and what we could expect in her future. I have a tailored plan for her long-term care and pictures to help explain what is going on with her. The mechanic himself came out to explain what they found and what was going on.
