Dr. Barton has been practicing orthodontics on the Peninsula since 2004. Having settled in Virginia after years of traveling the world with her military family, Dr. Barton graduated from York High School and the College of William and Mary, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Chemistry, all while completing all her pre-med requirements.

I had my first appointment today, and it exceeded my expectations. Each staff member was incredibly kind, and Dr. Butterfoss Barton was amazing. She was thorough in explaining everything to me, and she had such a personable, and calming demeanor. I left the office today feeling well informed, so much so that I could make a concrete decision today. Though it sounds crazy to say, I look forward to starting my journey with braces with her. I’m glad my dentist referred me to this practice.

After having my braces off for twelve years, I returned to the practice for minor cosmetic issues. Throughout the whole process, they have done an excellent job communicating about the progress of the treatment and the final results. Each appointment they ask about my concerns in order to find solutions to my problems. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I am happy with my smile! The Doctors and staff are willing to go the extra mile to make patients feel comfortable and satisfied!

We are so happy we chose Butterfoss and Barton for our daughter’s orthodontics. We talked with several friends as well as our dentist, and they came highly recommended. The recommendations were not wrong! The staff is super to work with, and while all orthodontics are expensive, I also feel like we are valued as parents, our daughter is getting fantastic care, and for her future, this is very worthwhile. They are great to work with, and I would highly recommend them!

I have been visiting this practice for over 20 years. I was a patient back in 1990-91 during the transition from Dr. Clayton to Dr. Butterfoss. Then years later my son became a patient with a very complicated treatment plan. I am back as a patient, being treated with Invisalign this time around. Every single time has been a great success. Dr. Butterfoss and Dr. Barton are extremely professional, caring and have extensive experience.
