Funeral arrangements should be a part of your estate planning. Paying for these arrangements in advance can be handled in many ways: bank trust, insurance policy, certificates of deposit, etc. These methods each offer unique advantages and disadvantages, discuss your options with your Funeral Director before the need arises for help in choosing the payment option most appropriate for your family's situation.
Why is a Funeral Service Important? Psychologists and other experts agree that the benefits of the funeral are for those left behind in order that those who mourn can reconstruct their lives following their loss. Before family and friends can fully adjust to their loss, survivors must express their grief in ways meaningful to them.
U.S. Military Veterans and their dependents may be entitled to a variety of benefits depending on their circumstances. One of our Funeral Directors or an agent of the Veterans Affairs office can help you determine what benefits can be claimed. Spouses and dependent children of eligible living or deceased Veterans may also be eligible for benefits.
