Our 4 cakes were AWFUL! We chose Amy because her cakes at the tasting were the best, by far, of any baker we tried. She listened to what we wanted however it didn’t translate to what we got. We were more interested in the taste of the cakes than what they looked like and that’s where Amy fell off her pedestal. The Almond cake was so dry it seemed as though it had been made a month earlier – so bad that no one would eat it and it had to be thrown away. We ordered 2 Devils Food cakes with chocolate mousse and ganache. Only 1 cake was delivered and it had no chocolate mousse. It too tasted nothing

We tried a few other cake companies prior to landing on Amy Beck Cake Design and her cake was definitely the tastiest! We had an in-person tasting and her charismatic personality and moist cake/unique fillings sold us!

Amy was fantastic to work with! Due to covid we didn't decide we would have a wedding cake until just 2 weeks before the date at our very small celebration with 12 people. Amy was quick and very helpful in picking out the right details for our cake. It was delicious and everyone at our mini-cocktail hour was able to enjoy a piece.

Beautiful work and delicious cake! I highly recommend Amy Beck Cake Design. She made our grooms cake and wedding cake. Not only were both cakes aesthetically beautiful but they were delicious!
For the grooms cake flavor, we had chocolate with hazelnut frosting.
For the wedding cake flavors, we had vanilla cake with strawberry frosting for one tier and the second tier was almond cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache layered frosting.
The flowers on the cake were done by my florist, but the cake itself was done by Amy! We had a taste testing beforehand and Amy was great! She was so friendly

Our cake was AWESOME! Pre-covid, my husband and I had a different idea for our cake that we worked on with Amy. When we had to change our plans from a 175 person wedding to a 35 person wedding, Amy was super flexible and worked with us to design a new cake that was more fitting for our smaller wedding at our new venue. It was absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for our venue and was absolutely DELICIOUS! Our top layer was devil's food cake and the bottom layer was almond cake. I think Amy's designs speak for themselves, but if you're wondering about Amy herself - she is kind, patient, and so fun to hang out with. Highly Recommend! Amy was so much fun to work with and totally made my "minimalist" wedding cake dreams come true. We received so many compliments from our guests who loved the unique, yet delicate flavors (we opted for passion fruit + lemon cake layers with fresh strawberry buttercream). Amy also added a little Millennium Falcon detail for my Star Wars obsessed husband, which made his day. Amy and her team are the BEST!

My amazing and thoughtful husband surprised me with a custom Christian Louboutin cake from Amy Beck Cake Design on my birthday last week. While the thought of a Louboutin cake would've made me dance with joy before, I was more than disappointed with the outcome that was this cake.

Absolutely loved working with Amy on my son's Super Mario-themed birthday cake. You can tell she loves what she does and she offered many creative suggestions and ideas throughout the process. She was always very responsive via email (my preferred means of communication) and was very clear about exactly what I would receive. I called and left a message and an email regarding our upcoming wedding. After no response, my fiancé called - again zero response. Maybe great cakes, horrible customer service. We were so pleased with our cakes from Amy Beck! We ordered a 4 tier "bride's" cake and 1 tier "groom's" cake for our June wedding and guests raved at how delicious they were!
We originally weren't sure what design we wanted for our cakes, but after having a conversation about our favorite things (me: Kate Spade, groom: Chicago, Blackhawks), we ended up with two designs we loved! On top of that, we shopped around to a few bakeries and Amy Beck was definitely reasonably priced and by far the easiest to work with!

My wedding cake might have actually stolen the show from me. It tasted INCREDIBLE and looked AMAZING. We also got a delicious vegan side cake which they ALSO BEAUTiFULLY DECORATED. They were extremely easy to work with, once the contract was signed I didn't have to worry at all about the cake. All in all I had a WONDERFUL experience and would recommend for any wedding

We've gotten so many compliments from guests on how delicious both the devils food (with salted caramel and chocolate ganache icings) and vanilla (with strawberry and cream cheese icings) cakes were. This was especially nice because we were planning our wedding from afar, and they were very accommodating and helped make everything go smoothly.
