I wish I had some nice pictures to illustrate but I don't. I've been coming here in summer of 2015 for a variety of services: Birkenstock sandal repair, Dansko clog repair, and even for a terrible stain on a leather jacket. I've always been impressed with the service and quality of all the jobs on my leather items. I highly recommend this place for shoe repairs and leather product repairs!

I’m so grateful I found this place, I have been suffering severe pain due to my job which requires me to stay on my feet for over 12 hours a day. I have bern using the shoes they tailored for me for a couple days and I have seen great results. I hope to continue see improvements.

Edie at the shop was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She did a thorough examination of both my partners feet and gait and my own and provided recommendations that made sense for us. We love to run a lot and are very active and excited to have knowledge to get the shoes. My fiancé ended up getting orthotics and excited to see if it helps her foot pain!

Not too much to say about this place. I took my Louis here to get fixed. I was quoted that it will take a certain amount of time and unfortunately it took a little longer. I'm not here to complain at all I just wish that I would have been informed initial time that it will take because it kind of threw off my personal schedule. The customer service was great so I may be coming back here if I ever need you all's service again. Thank you for helping me out in a short matter.

She was so patient with me and took the time to correct my pronation which has caused me severe pain and an uneven gait for at least 20 years. I have a whole new lease on life! I went in to look at their selection of Brooks shoes and was assisted by a woman whose name I can't recall. She had distinctive half-black and half-white hair and went out of her way to listen to my needs and provide in depth education and guidance in finding exactly the right shoes for those needs. I've seen some lackluster reviews of other staff members, but look for this woman and you can't go wrong.

I used village shoes for the lift in my left shoe for over 25 years---it's not easy to find a place that does this work. i had to take in an old shoe every time i went since they don't seem to save anything and certainly aren't computerized. sometimes it was right, other times it wasn't and i had to make multiple trips to get it right. after all the years i went there, they acted like they'd never seen me before when i went in. the staff is not friendly or helpful. edie is nicer than the others, but after she missed a couple of appointments with me, i realized while

The ONLY and mean ONLY shoe shop I trust in Houston. I collect and rehab vintage designer handbags as a side business. When I have a complicated dye job or leather work or high end (read investment) shoe repair, I allllways end up back here. I first learned of them 20 years ago when I was working at The university of Houston's costume shop in the theater department. I had given Maida's a try a few times but alas, back I came to the village shoe shop. On my way to pick up a lambskin Chanel bag that I'm having them dyed black from mint green. They are awesome here! They work fast and offer the best services for your shoe's needs. They are realistic and honest when giving advice rather than just trying to sell me unnecessary services to make money. They even applied water-protectant for my Uggs and cleaned my leather wallet one for free.

Dropped off pair of shoes for shoe shine - was told they would be done by 4pm same day and available for pick up as early as 8AM following day. Arrived for pick up next morning at 930, shoes were not done and had not even been started. Waited 30 minutes for them to be ready because "they were accidentally forgotten since the store was so backed up on other orders." I was not charged for the service, at least. Photo attached with my ticket saying ready by Thursday 4pm, watch showing Friday morning.

One of the best shoe repairs in Houston! They are so helpful and friendly and do an excellent job repairing Shoes for a good price! They totally repaired my Valentino shoes for $70. They changed the sole and the heel, added these studs under the shoe at the bottom front (highly recommend for all pointy shoes), buffed the leather and made them look brand new. I've also brought boots here, and replaced heels!

I was so disappointed with my experience here. My boyfriend bought me a pair of Birkenstocks for Christmas and I brought them back before New Years for a different color. They did not have the color I wanted so they kindly ordered me the color I wanted and said it would only be a few weeks. When I called back 2 1/2 weeks later to check in I talked to a woman who said they were back ordered until February. No one had called me to update me. I bought a pair of shoes from Don who told me if I didn't like them, I had a week to return them. Exactly a week later I brought them back after wearing the shoes twice inside only. He told me I couldn't return them because it had been too long, and then said they had been worn too much.
Only after I started to get huffy did he eventually return them. Don't trust their word, get it in writing.

I have been going here for 10+ years and have been nothing but happy with the work quality. You can tell the people really know their stuff. I think some of them may even have some sort of degree in something podiatry related. I have taken handbags and shoes. They have always been able to repair broken shoes and make worn in shoes look like brand new. A+ professional quality.

I had a terrible experience at the Village Shoe Shop. I took a very expensive high heel sandal in to be cleaned. The shoe had a small scuff mark on the strap and they said no problem. When I picked the shoe up a few days later, the shoe was destroyed. I mean, ruined. It was nubuck, and they had used the wrong brush or something, and completely scraped off the leather in some places, I mean it was horrible. I decided to invest in a pair of Le Silla Boots. I am on the thin-side, so I have difficulty finding a pair of boots that will fit my calves. Usually I have to resort to layering - wearing thick socks and then jeans over, but I decided to take a risk and take my boots to be taken in at the Village Shoe Shop. I am so glad I decided to bring my boots here. They fit SO SNUG! I can wear them without tights!
