We booked Bristle Pine cabin for the week in October. We arrived and it was such an easy check in. We found the cabin, called the office and they got us in with no contact for those of you that like that. The cabin was cozy and had a hot tub. The shower is very tiny. But it was all good. Not sure this cabin will ever rent again, but be aware that there are no electrical outlets to speak of. On Wednesday we got a call from Alyx saying that the cabin had sold and we would have to be out by Friday and she had a couple of options for us and she was absolutely embarrassed to have to make that call.

We are extremely disappointed in our stay there. We even had to leave a day early. We spotted a BROWN RECLUSE inside a light fixture at the Blue Jay Cabin and when we called to have them take it out, Josh claimed "all the spiders" he found inside the light fixture were dead. We called at 9am when they open and they took over 2 -3 hours to send someone, and only after an employee was walking around side entrance to look for his glasses. We saw the spider move so we KNOW it was NOT DEAD. This was only one of many many spiders we saw. But the point is, it was very dangerous for my children if they

I have visted Ruidoso multiple times and have never expierenced such unprofesionalism or horrible customer service. The owner is rude and a liar since she claims to send voicemails and emails but has no reciepts to prove this. She changed our cabin two days before our trip with no previous notice and she herslef said that the new cabin she moved us to was "not as comfortable as your previous cabin". When we called to fix the issue the immature owner continously spoke over us on the phone, would not listen to our complaints, and abruptly hanged up the phone. This is not how a responsible owner should

When business owners come across miscommunication with a client, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that to talk over, bully, & belittle the client will not solve anything. The cabin that we had paid for was abruptly switched out to a different one at the last minute. We never received a call, and never received an email. When we called to fix this issue, we were consistently spoken over, & the owner said “well I can’t just build you a new cabin.” When we made her aware that the cabin she was telling us was “no longer available” was still showing up as available on the website,

Extremely unprofessional and immature. We had booked and paid for a cabin since February and were not informed that they switched us to an incomparable cabin of poor quality. When we tried to fix the issue the owner claimed that she did not know and that she “could not build us a new cabin” and proceeded to unprofessionally hang up the phone. She also admitted that we are not the first customers she has done this to. The service is horrible, rude, embarrassing, and frankly disgusting.

Terrible experience. We booked a couple nights here because it looked like a nice secluded spot to stay at with a private kitchen and hot tub. We drove from Houston, so we were quite tired by the time we arrived. Our check in was at 4pm, but we actually were scheduled to arrive a bit sooner, so we called ahead and asked about an early check in. The lady (Alexis, I think...) was very rude over the phone and said it would be a $50 charge for early check in. We understood this, so we just waited in the car until 4pm. We stayed at the cedar this past weekend
I am very upset since cabin was not clean and we are being charged a cleaning fee. I had to call because there were hairs between the sheets on the upstairs bedroom. There were dead bugs all over the cabin. And cabin smells awful we had to buy febreeze, carpet cleaner and some candles to be able to keep up with the smell. I hope I get at least the cleaning fee that I paid back.

Horrible experience dealing with slumlord Alix. My husband and I drove for two days to stay at one of their properties only to be told by Alix that we were not welcomed and she did not want us to stay at their properties. First of all, they have an extremely late check in time, 4pm. We arrived in town about 11am, we drove around town all day to kill time till check in at 4pm only to find out that the property was not ready.
