Michael's Pizzeria has been serving the best Napoli-style wood-fired pizza since 2010-and Zagat even named us a "Top Pizza Joint" in 2013. We earned the highest overall score for a pizzeria in the United States that same year. The idea of opening a pizzeria came to reality when a small annex space opened up next door to our original restaurant, Michael's on Naples.
Not long after the success of Michael's Pizzeria, we decided to expand our family of restaurants and open up the Downtown location, which has evolved into Michael's Downtown Italian Kitchen. Michael's Pizzeria is part of the Long Beach family of restaurants that includes Michael's on Naples, and Michael's Downtown Italian Kitchen.

Absolutely the BEST pizza in Los Angeles & beyond. They have always maintained ultra high standards. If you are even anywhere near Naples Island & want to experience a taste of Naples - Italy. Make sure you come by and enjoy the pizza Napoletana delight the way it is supposed to be. This is an “RTR Must Do” .

I'm shocked this place has good reviews. Maybe it's better in house? Maybe we had a bad experience? We we're terribly disappointed with our meal. If I'm going to pay $50 for 2 pizzas, they better be GOOD. I ordered pizzas to pick up, get them home and they weren't sliced. The sauce was watery so when you picked up the slice everything slide off and the crust was soggy and floppy. Flavors were weak. I was really looking forward to trying this place but it's honestly some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten. There is no excuse for soggy pizza!!

Our experience here was absolutely amazing! When we first got there it seemed small, but the menu looked good, so we decided to try it. That was the best decision we could've made. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. The appetizers and dinner were spread out, which made it easier to enjoy all the food. Our server, Ben, was amazing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back.

Always used to go there for the food and good pizza but haven’t been there in a while, my daughter Ordered 4 pizzas to go yesterday by phone. Opened the boxes and the sizes were personal pan pizza size around 8”inches, and $ 100.00 later including the tip.
Pizza is very good but you guys need to step it up on the sizes..

1 star for a good tasting margherita pizza.
The service here is horrible. When we entered we stood for a few minutes waiting for a server to acknowledge us in this tiny restaurant. When We were finally told we could just sit anywhere the waiter came up to us like 15 minutes later and We ordered a margherita pizza and the bake fusilli. It took us 45 minutes to get our orders. the restaurant wasn't even full at the time. I noticed other tables were given bread except us. We were starving by the time the food finally got to us. Pizza was great. Fusilli was horrible ...it looked like a Mac n cheese

My hubby always said this is one of the best pizzas in the county.
Today, we finally went there. My first visit, and his first visit after 4 years. On the way to the restaurant, I read a review saying the sauce and dough was bland, my heart sank a bit. I told my hubby, ‘we will be the judge!’
And now I have to agree with the previous review. The sauce wasn’t just bland but also watery. The only flavour that the pizza had was the ingredients they put there when you tasted them individually... they actually didn’t blend in that well.
