The story of Spiegel and Son Jewelers began in 1947 when my late father, Martin Spiegel, a World War II refugee, immigrated to America from his native Czechoslovakia. In 1950 he opened a small jewelry shop in downtown Cleveland. My father was talented, hard-working, and honest to a fault. He ran the business as a repair shop working primarily for local retail jewelry stores.

I had the best experience with Spiegel and Sons. Stuart is so gracious and patient, he was a delight to work with. I came in looking to reset my engagement ring and Stuart was so easy to work with, offered expertise at every step of the way, and brought my dreams to life! I wanted to recreate a ring I saw online and Stuart made it happen. He spent time with me understanding what I liked best, suggested modifications to strengthen the setting, and provided renderings and a mold of the setting to help me visualize and make revisions. I had a lovely experience here. I needed to have my wedding and engagement rings resized. Normally I would have taken them to the small family jeweler where they were purchased, but we no longer live in that city. So I wanted a similar sort of place where I could get personal service and know that my rings would be taken good care of.
Stuart was kind, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful old-school goldsmith who did such a fantastic job that you cannot see where the work was done at all. They came back beautifully polished and the work was done at a very reasonable price.

Stuart helped us pick out an an amazing solitaire engagement ring for her. He crafted a beautiful custom wedding band for her and he was able to incorporate my family’s diamonds into these two beautiful pieces. He was even able to resize my grandfathers wedding band for me and it came back to me looking better than when I gave it to him!

We worked with Stuart Spiegel to design a custom engagement ring, and then worked with him again to purchase both of our wedding rings. My husband found Spiegel and Sons after looking at dozens of diamonds at a large chain store and at a larger, independent (but very well known) local jewelry store. My husband am from Cleveland originally, and was in town visiting family for the holiday, but we live in Philadelphia now. I've went to Spiegel & Son Jewelers for an appraisal on an engagement ring.
Stuart, who took care of me was one of kindest person I've ever met at a jewelry store. He had so much knowledge in the industry and many stories to talk about.

I can't say enough good things about Spiegel & Son - particularly the outstanding service provided to me by Stuart! Stuart is one of the nicest people I will ever come into contact with. His shop was referred to me by a couple of friends and I couldn't be happier with how everything came out. The only reason shoppers would purchase jewelry at the mall is because they haven't met Stuart or stopped by his shop yet! Stuart has wonderful pieces and was fantastic to work with. Stuart has taken over this little jewelry store from his father and it is all about one on one service. My husband bought our engagement ring from here and we came back to have a wedding band made. I described what I was looking for and he had his jewelry contacts come up with a couple of molds. It turned out perfect!! We still come back here when we are in town to get my rings cleaned.
I also have several other piece from here that my husband has given to me as gifts and all of them are unique!! Not your typical chain jewelry store by any means.
