Extremely disappointed with the customer service after my order placed with two day shipping was never sent out. Email correspondence shows directions to notify the bakery once the item was delivered to receive… a refund for the expedited shipping charge after multiple emails and a phone call.
Had two missing items from my order when it was finally delivered, and now I’m told the shipping charge will not be refunded… Huh?

Received a plain king cake as a gift. It was the worse thing ever. Not fresh, no cinnamon and the icing was scarce and tasteless. Contacted customer service and was told next time I ordered let them know and they would see what they could do. I asked if I could return it for something else since I don’t order from them really and was told the person who gave it to me would have to call. I have no intention of making them feel bad by telling them. I know it would bother them too much . Can’t understand why they just won’t swap it out. Horrible customer service.

Ordered a king cake to have shipped to my father out of state. The cake was never shipped after paying for two day shipping. After emailing customer service, I was told the cake was shipped and provided with the same tracking number that was still showing a shipping label was created and not yet retrieved by FedEx. I notified Star this was the original tracking info, and the status had remained the same. Star informed me she had “reshipped” the cake and I needed to email customer service upon delivery to be refunded shipping costs.

Only complaint is that they had sold out many items by the afternoon...but that should tell you just how good their pastries are! Being from out of state the super friendly staff answered a lot of my questions. I left with almond petites and an almond-flavored cupcake. I forgot about the cupcake and three days later it was still fresh and delicious! If you're in the New Orleans area definitely stop by I highly recommend it!

Gambinos makes a really incredible wedding cake! I’m a wedding planner and I absolutely loved the cake they made for one of my couples - it was really delicious too. Working with their staff and coordinating details was super easy. They are friendly and very responsive. I would highly recommend Gambinos to any couples looking for a baker for their wedding!

A historic moment! Sarah has enjoyed seven decades of birthday Doberge cakes from Gambino’s bakery in New Orleans, until now. The attached photo is the most recent Doberge in our garbage can waiting pick up at the street curb. Nothing about this cake reasonables past cake, custard fillings, texture, icing.

Anyway, here's the deal: I grew UP on Gambinos! So many memories of the one-of-a-kind NOLA Doberge cakes, King Cakes, and Sunday petit-fours (was always pronounced pinna-fours...lol!).
I told my wife all about Gambinos, and on a trip to NOLA a few years ago, we rented a car and did some touristy things- one stop being Gambinos!
Thus, for my birthday this year, my wife surprised me with a cake from Gambinos! It was shipped in dry ice via Fedex. It arrived on time

Loved our wedding cakes! We chose Gambino’s for our wedding cake and grooms cake our New Orleans May 2021 wedding. So beautiful and beyond delicious. We went with classic nola almond wedding cake with lemon and raspberry filling for our wedding cake. The design was custom to match the floral pattern of the embroidery on my dress. Our grooms cake was chocolate. We also rented the cake stand from them. The service was very helpful.

The cakes here are beautiful! I got a cake for my birthday it was so good. The cake was extra moist and flavorful. The icing was very good and the colors didn't have that strange taste from the food coloring. I froze it on the 19th and had a piece yesterday and I promise it tastes even better after I thaws like all the flavors remarry and make things that much better.

Just left there and extremely disappointed in the service. The woman at the counter was helpful, she went and got them to put a trim around one that was in the case. This appeared to get her in trouble and a… man in a suit walked up and said that it was a one time thing and made us feel terrible for what I assume was getting the woman in trouble. He was very unfriendly and I assume the boss or owner. I will not be returning. My mom has had one of their cakes for every birthday when her parents were alive and for her birthday every year and we will not be getting anymore from them. It was

Cakes are great, and customer service is top flight. I ordered a freedom cake that came damaged (no fault of gambinos, obviously) and the way they handled the situation brought them from a bakery with great… products, to a bakery with great products and great customer service. They made me feel like they really do care about every one of their customers. can't recommend them enough!

I will never order from here again. I ordered a cake for my husbands 40th. After $65 in shipping, they shipped it FedEx ground! It shipped in June 18th and did not arrive on June 20th as requested. Of course it didn’t. For $65 in shipping, they should at min chose 2 day shipping. FedEx ground is the “I don’t care when it arrives” method. How can… you care so little for your product? My cake has been sitting in a warehouse for 2 days. Now I don’t have a cake and no one seems to care. They could send a second one and “maybe” get it here on time if

My son is in the military. The Gambino's King Cake is his favorite cake. I ordered it almost a month ago to be delivered for his birthday on December 13th. I called my son today so to see if he got his birthday cake. He said he didn't.
I called Gambino's to check the status. The lady on the phone first hung up. I called back and the lady said that "We do ship to Germany, but it's expensive, so we had to cancel your order. Sorry, we will issue you a refund."

INSIDER TIP FROM DOREEN (AKA AZN PERSUASION): I wanted to list this here as an tip on how to get the Mardi Gras King Cakes out of season and whenever you wanted from the original bakery. Though based out of New Orleans, fear not, you can still get their King Cakes and baked goods via Fed Ex overnight delivery. They suggest you eat the King Cakes within 2 days of delivery and it should not be put in the fridge.
