In a world where big box retailers are slowly doing away with family run businesses, Stan's Market is truly a place that cares about their customers. On my frequent trips there I've seen on countless occasions that the staff know their regulars by name.
For a smaller store they do a great job of stocking a little bit of everything you could possibly need. The produce department is one of the first things you see after entering, be sure to check it out because it's always fresh and well stocked. In my opinion the meat counter is the best in the city. I live across the street from Stan's and I have shopped there numerous times. However, I will not be returning to Stan's. I was extremely offended on my last visit when a cashier made me get out of the check out line so she could take care of one of her friends. This business relies on local Livonia shoppers like myself, and customer service should be a priority, not doing favors for friends. So I will go to Kroger, Meijer, or Walmart for all of my shopping.

I stopped by Stan's the other day for a rather eclectic list on my way to an event. I needed little pretzel sticks, mini marshmallows, paper towels and coffee filters. They had everything I needed!
Stan's is a small market, but they have a lot of different grocery stuff. The people working there were friendly, and all the product was neatly displayed, clean and fresh. If I lived around the corner, Stan's could easily be my frequent last-minute stop.
