Grand Master David Turgeon is the Owner of the Connecticut Chung Do Kwan Academy and an 8th Dan Grand Master Instructor who has been studying Taekwondo for over 45 years! Him and his wife Judy have enjoyed running their studio together while raising their 3 kids. Their 2 sons have since become black belts and their daughter has excelled in dance!
Students may attend as many classes a week as they would like according to their age and rank. Then apply them to all aspects in life such as keeping good grades, bullying, or calming aggression and anxiety. Our instructors are experts at teaching young students to set individual goals and promoting them to their next rank upon accomplishment.
Our students start as young at 4 years old! All students train at their own pace, with promotions being awarded due to individual progress. In this way, a 65 year old man and a 5 year old girl can complete the same course, each progressing at their own level. Since size & strength aren't factors in TKD, women & children tend to do especially well.
