Services
We are an 18-hole semi-private golf course with an on-site putting green, fully stocked Pro Shop, a full service restaurant open year round, Baxter's Restaurant, which is open to the public. Gift Cards are available for Baxter's or Greens fees on the course! Our convenient location just one mile from Downtown Rutland allows for a quick round of golf, pleasant business lunch or dinner or a family gathering.
We have a long history of providing remarkable golf on our beautiful 18 holes for over 115 years. Many famous golfers and celebrities have visited Rutland Country Club over the years, and you can see pictures of them throughout the clubhouse. The Splendid Splinter, Ted Williams was quite enamored by our course, as was Bob Rotella, and as is Keegan Bradley today.
Wonderful opening hole with OB left off the tee and trees down the right side. Well struck drive will leave short to mid iron into green guarded by deep bunkers on both side. Back pin is tough to get access to with downslope behind the green and OB long. Green is fairly flat with most of the slope in the front of the green.
A resident of Rutland County is allowed to play Rutland Country Club once per calendar month. A non-member that resides in Rutland County for less than 30 days is not restricted to playing while you are visiting. Junior Members, whether playing alone or with other Junior Members, shall not play before 2:30 p.m. on weekends or holidays, nor between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. weekdays.
The "Fareway Membership" is another level of membership we offer here at the Rutland Country Club. This is a prepaid membership. Members chose which level best suits them and prepay at the prices listed. When they check in at the Pro Shop, their accounts would be charged for greens fees depending on the time of day and day of week (see greens fee chart below).

Baxters is located in a very tranquil setting, on the north side of town. They have quite a bit of outdoor seating (although they need more table umbrellas). My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The menu is varied with several specials to choose from. I enjoyed the Rum Poached Pear 🍐 salad 🥗. Service was friendly. I look forward to returning for lunch again, soon.
