Changes since taking over have included new equipment, renovation and addition of a second exam room, update to frame collections carried, and majority of insurances are accepted. Changes that were made at this office included adding more staff, more hours including evening and weekends, new frame selections, and more.

I don't have vision insurance. However, I've heard that some vision conditions are eligible for medical insurance coverage. It that true? Yes, if you do not have vision insurance, but have medical insurance like Medicare or Blue Cross, for example, and you have been diagnosed with a medical condition like cataracts, or have dry eye syndrome, you may be eligible to use your medical insurance.

Very friendly practice! Dr. Penney was great with my younger kids that were a little nervous for their first exam! My picky high schooler was very excited to find the perfect pair of glasses in their wide selection. The staff was all very patient and knowledgeable and made the whole process easy for this mama!

Our family has a new Optometrist with Dr. Penney. We are relatively new to the area and were fortunate to find Penney Eye Care. The staff and offices are welcoming and there is a great selection of frames and lenses to choose from. All Covid precautions are taken from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the price and service at Penney Eye Care.

My wife and I were looking for a local optometrist and were referred to Dr. Penney. During our first appointments, she clearly explained every test that was done and took time to answer our questions. Her staff members were friendly and helpful as well. Dr Penney takes amazing care of my entire family's eyes. My kids love her and so do I! I completely trust her medical care, appreciate the wide selection of glasses options that are both stylish and affordable and the contacts I purchase directly from her practice are less or comparable to warehouse or online distributors. I went to Penny Eye Care in McKeesport for the first time today! Dr Penny is very prompt and her exam was very thorough! She took a lot of time fitting me for contacts, which was the first time I have ever had them in my eyes, and this took quite a while!. I never felt rushed ! Her selection of eyewear is excellent! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! I will definitely continue coming to Dr. Penny ! Thank you!

Took the whole family today to get eye exams. Waiting room was comfy. Staff was friendly. Dr. Penney was fun, quick, and knowledgeable. Great with the kids. Staff was patient with our chaos of finding perfect lenses. Helpful with my husband learning to use contacts for first time. Great selection of glasses. We had a fun time at Penney Eye care.

I'm an older individual that has many miles on my eyes. Dr. Penney performed a thorough eye exam and explained everything going on with my eyes. She is knowledgeable and patient, her staff was courteous and professional and I picked out a pair of glasses that I'm extremely satisfied with.
I came to Penney Eye Care rather than the eye doctor I'd been going to for years, it was a smart move on my part! I will be returning again when I need good eye care! Thank you Dr. Penney!!

A small neighborhood office, formerly "20/20 Eye Care". Dr. Penney's staff were welcoming. My daughter came for an eye exam. $90 covered the thorough exam, including pupil dialating drops to ensure an accurate prescription. Dr. Penney herself was very professional and clear with everything she was doing. My daughter was really comfortable with her. The prices for glasses seemed a bit high for us, so we decided to get them from the big "2 pairs for $70" chain (The big business chains generally rush the exams.)

Dr. Rachel Penney at Penney Eye Care in McKeesport, PA is amazing. She has one of the best selections of eye wear in the Mon Valley area. If you are looking for some where to find great designer glasses and the best care you have to go to her office. She has a great staff that is caring and personable.
