Services
Sightline was first established as SightLine Laser Eye Center in 2000 by Dr. Lou Phillips, O.D. This was initially a referral center for local optometrists to send their patients to have refractive surgery. Due to requests by the local optometrists, in 2004 Dr. Lou hired a cataract surgeon (along with Dr. Charlene Maloney O.D.) and the business name was changed to SightLine Ophthalmic Associates to reflect the expanding surgical offerings.

The office staff and Drs. are great BUT the scheduled pricing to have a YAG procedure done is extremely unfair. I was charged $350 for the procedure (which is proper) but then charged an ADDITIONAL $150 for an office visit on the same day! This office visit is necessary to do the procedure. I feel it only fair that it should be included in the actual medical procedure and not on top of it. If the procedure was not necessary, I could see being charged just as I would be charged to have something assessed and not use the service. But to have BOTH charges is a little bit unjust. JMO... Therefore,

I had a Cornea transplant in 2/2021. I researched and decided on Sightline. Dr. Phillips did my surgery and I cannot say enough good about him. He is one of the best!!! Dr. Carver has done all my after care and is so attentive and excellent in his part of this that I can say my eyesight is AWESOME!
From the girls at the front desk to the nurses, I feel so comfortable and at ease here everyone is always so friendly I forget I'm in a Dr 's office! And that is saying alot

I had to have Keratoconus Surgery and I was referred to Sightline. The surgery and what to expect was spot on and great. The billing was a very different story. I was told during the consult that I would have to pay my deductible up front and then everything would be covered and paid in full. Well that was not the case. A month or so after the surgery I receive a very hefty bill. When I called, they said that I had a co-insurance and there was no way they could have known that. I explained that the possibility of this happening was not even explained. They apologized and said they would be happy

Everyone was very nice. My procedure seemed to go well. I paid the additional $1200 PER EYE, to have the corrective lenses inserted. My vision post-op has been subpar. I have a "fogginess" and MANY "floaters" that are affecting my vision immensely. I was told this as due to my eyes being dry. The physician inserted punctal plugs to try and alleviate the dryness - charged me an additional $192 for those. I truly wish that if they felt that I was NOT a great candidate for this procedure, that they just would have said so. Every patient is different.

My experience at Sightline Laser Eye center was phenomenal. I had cataracts removed from both eyes. I had the Toric Lens implanted in each eye. The staff and the doctors were excellent from my first visit and up to and after my surgery. They showed nothing but professionalism. I felt comfortable with the staff as well as all of the doctors I had direct contact with. The doctors explained my surgery in detail and allowed me to present any and all of my questions without hesitation. I would highly recommend anyone to Sightline Laser Eye. They strive for nothing less than excellence. I would do it

I had cataracts removed from both eyes and it feels great to be able to see clearly! Dr. Espandar is an excellent surgeon! Dr. Lawson and Dr. Carver were very kind and helpful and took the time to answer my questions and explain the procedure. The entire staff was kind, courteous and respectful. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Dr. Christopher Carver is exceptional! I had a great experience on my initial exam prior to cataract surgery. He discovered retinal tears in both eyes which needed to be corrected before my cataract surgery. He then referred me to specialists who performed laser surgery to repair. To sum it up he was very thorough in explaining all the steps that led up to my cataract surgeries. I was very pleased with my experience and would recommend Dr. Christopher Carver highly.

I had cataract surgery in December of 2020. I found it to be a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The office visits, the employees and the doctors were excellent. I was treated in a very caring way at the hospital. Most of all, I cannot believe how well I can see! I never knew one could see so clearly! I am thrilled with Siteline.

My experience at SightLine Laser Eye Center was positive right from the start in scheduling my appointment. The staff and doctors were friendly, kind, and helpful in easing my concerns. On the day of my surgery a staff member explained again the procedure and answered any questions I had. Dr. Espandar was gentle and calm during the process which helped relax me. My follow up care with Dr. Carter was thorough and detailed checking on my healing process. I would strongly recommend this office for your eye care. They take good care of their patients!

I was referred here by my primary optometrist Dr. Sharon O'Rourke, for an injury to my cornea that occurred at my work. Dr. Paul Phillips was the ophthalmologist I saw here, he was wonderful. He was very understanding and reassuring. I had to get a corneal alcohol ablation to try and have my cornea heal properly. I also saw his father Dr. Louis Phillips post operatively, both doctors were great and would recommend them if any type of eye procedure is needed!

I started going here because I was going to need a cornea transplant. Took about a year for me to work up the courage to do it. Saw Dr. Valli a few times during this. Decided I liked and trusted her. So I had the transplant. Dr. Valli was great. She really seems like she cares. Ended up losing the first transplant and needed to redo it. This one seems Ok. Everyone in this office is very friendly and helpful. I kind of feel like I'm going to miss seeing them once I'm all healed up.
