Aki's Cleaners

I was referred here by my auntie who came here to get her chiffon pants hemmed! My auntie knew I was looking for cheung sam for my wedding banquet in Jan 2022! Monique explained the process of how she would do research for me of different styles and then would order it for me for a very reasonable price!

So after she did her research, she texted me the different styles she found & had me narrow it down to 3 designs! We eventually decided on the one, and she had me come in to get my measurements, and she placed the order! It came in faster than anticipated and it fit perfectly!!

I approached AKIS for a wedding shawl to coordinate with
my mother of the groom sequined dress. They created an
heirloom keepsake coordinating colors on handpainted silk.
Very classy and great message incorporated. Definitely a piece
of art. They also completed some alterations that were impeccably
executed for a fair price.

I discovered Aki Cleaners a few months ago when my neighborhood cleaners closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Talk about a silver lining!! Not only are their cleaning services far superior, with each piece perfectly cleaned, folded, and wrapped (for sweaters) but they also offer a range of other interesting services and everyone is exceedingly friendly. I highly recommend everyone to check them out!

I discovered Akis cleaners when my neighborhood cleaners closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. What a terrific find! Everyone is friendly, professional and above all...interesting people! Their cleaning services are first rate and very reasonably priced. I am currently working with Monique on some complicated alterations. Everything is going quite well and I'm excited to see it finished. Do yourself a favor and check out this lovely neighborhood business!

They take care good care of our designer dresses and make expert alteration. We love them and highly recommend them to the SF fashionista community for any garment cleaning or fine adjustment.

These guys are as good as it gets. Super (covid) clean, fast, accommodating and really really nice! They also have great tailoring talents. I get a text when my laundry is ready for pick-up with the amount that I owe so I can have it ready. Very lucky to have them close by. Highly recommend.

Great people and good price. I can get all my laundry done here for so much less than other cleaners in the area. I've been coming here for 5 years and have no complaints.

I've been using the service for years for my regular wash and fold, dry cleaning, and alterations. I have always received excellent service and they take great care of my items.

If you want to get your things back do not bring it here. Lost a very expensive Italian duvet cover and would not take responsibility . Other times I received other people’s things .. very unprofessional. If you value your clothing take your business elsewhere.

First-time going and They destroyed two of my shirts! One of them $800 white shirt! they gave it back to me with blood stains!
The second one - all buttons were broken!
Also communication with the attendant is realy hard to be made.

One thing I appreciated is that they don't burn my clothes in the dryer. I got everything back clean and folded as expected. My drycleaning was perfect, and I have an alteration I'm picking up tomorrow. If all goes well, I won't be posting again.

They spoiled my boyfriend Jerseys and told me that was't their problem. My boyfriend is so mad, this never happen before in the cleaners he used to take his clothes. Has anybody had the same experience?

This place was great until Aki ripped two large holes in the front of my shirt. When I pointed the blame at Aki he claimed it was the machine's fault. After holding in my laughter, I was able to get my check of $ 26 ripped up but not without a fight and giving up my "privilege" of using Aki's as my dry cleaners.

I am saddened to write this, having been a loyal customer of Aki's for 1.5 years, bringing them tons of laundry every single week.

They ruined 2 shirts of mine in dry cleaning. Came out completely faded, pilled, destroyed fabric. **Not only were the shirts ruined, but there were curly light-brown hairs on them and a white residue that looked like powdered detergent.** Also - they overcharged me because the 'shirts are long' putting another fee on top of the original price

When I pointed it out, I was met with intense hostility. They said it was the fabric, ahem, no... then

These cleaners are the shizznit. As everyone else has already said. GO there. Try them. You'll love it.

When I moved here, I didn't expect the laundry to be so expensive. 2-3 bucks for a SINGLE LOAD? And I thought 75 cents was crazy when I was in college.

SO yes - for doing about 3 weeks of clothes? $28.00

Doing it myself and wasting hours? $20. PLUS the clothes aren't always dry by the time 20 bucks of quarters run out. Yes it's true people. You can save by having people wash your clothes.

So far, this has been the best deal I've found in the Richmond/Laurel Heights area.

They do a good job dry cleaning too. Better than many other places I've been.

The smell of this place makes every walk from my house better. It's a sweet scent, a familier scent. The owner is very friendly and has even let me mend my own clothes with their equipment. The prices are reasonable, even cheap. They always get my stains out, however once I found what looked like a burn on the cuff of my shirt. I can't be sure it was their fault.

Fresh towels from the cleaners, with the sweet smell of the shop, wrapped in blue paper, perfectly square = divine.
