Hi! My name is Erin Martin and I am the owner of ECBG Cake Studio. I am wildly in love with my friends and family, super into the Chicago restaurant and comedy scene, and obsessed with exploring the cake and pastry world. ECBG Cake Studio started in 2011 as Erin's Custom Baked Goods and was founded on the ideals of customization, accessibility, and learning as I went.
All of the creative cakes that you see on our website have been specially designed for each of our clients. Whether it's a 5 tiered wedding cake or a beautifully frosted cake for your baby's first birthday, dessert is the centerpiece of life's most special occasions. Rest assured, we have the experience of helping hundreds of couples and families and can do the same for you.
We start the wedding cake process by scheduling your wedding cake tasting. Right now we are offering wedding cake tastings-to-go so you are able to enjoy our delicious and from scratch cakes, fillings, and frosting from the safety and comfort of your own home! Great care is taken with each order to make sure you will love your cake. Our line of "Back to Basics" Party cakes are dressed to impress, they look as good as they taste. The Marble Bloom cake could not be more stylish! She has a marbled design in sophisticated shades of grey, fancy gold leaf accents and topped with a beautiful fresh flower.
ECBG is an absolute must for your wedding cake needs. From the very first meeting, aka amazing cake tasting, Erin took our vision and made it more than we could have dreamed. Choosing a cake flavor was even difficult because of how delicious they were. I had Erin make a Groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner and we were absolutely blown away.

We loved working with ECBG for our November wedding. They created a beautiful colorful spackle cake and decorative cookies that were so delicious. They were very easy to work with, quick responses, knew exactly what we wanted based on a couple inspo pictures and answered any last minute questions we had leading up to the big day. We couldn't have been happier with our cake & cookies and can't wait for next year to eat our top tier! Thank you ECBG!

ECBG made the most fabulous cake for my dad's 80th birthday party! It looked just like a bottle of Laphroaig scotch and they made all the personalizations I asked for. Everyone was wowed and it was the hit I wanted it to be - it really made the whole party. And it wasn't just a pretty exterior - the cake itself was absolutely delicious!

ECBG brought our vision to life and made the wedding cake of our dreams! Our guests raved about how yummy it was and since we got to keep the top tier, we've been tempted (more than once) to unfreeze it and tear into it! From the take home tasting, the design process, payment, creation and delivery of the cake, the ECBG team was so wonderful to work with!

ECBG did our wedding cake and it was above and beyond our expectations. They are so easy to work with from start to finish, and not only do they make beautiful cakes, but the service is extraordinary - Erin and Sarah worked with us every step of the way, making sure every detail was perfect. The fact that they make cakes for every big Chicago event just shows how much talent, professionalism, and expertise this company offers. Plus, their cakes are DELICIOUS! My wedding cake was AMAZING!!! It looked exactly like the drawing I sent them and tasted delicious! I had to go through talks with a large number of bakeries, both because I have an alternative style relationship, and because most were refusing to do my design in buttercream instead of fondant. (I was a pro cake designer for years, so I knew it could be done, the other bakeries were just being lazy.) But when I contacted ECBG, they were friendly and more than willing to make the cake I was asking for! Also, EXCELLENT quality and price! They made the process painless

ECBG Cake Studio is where it's at y'all! Erin created the perfect cake for us and it was downright delicious. One of our vendors told us it's the best cake she's seen and tasted at a wedding and she's been to thousands of weddings over her career. The cake was perfectly made, soft, the flavors were amazing. I really wanted to like it but it was not for me. But before I get to all of that I wanted to talk about the positives aspects of this business. I found this place doing a google search and noticed it had a lot of positive reviews. The cakes on their website looked really pretty and professional too so I decided to give it a try. The person I communicated with was Kelly. We spoke through email in which she responded really quickly. She was very nice and helpful during the ordering process. She even gave me a little bit of a discount on my order. They do not take down payments and I could not get
