Services
Longtime friends, restaurant operators and native Italians Antonio Matarazzo and chef Matteo Venini teamed up to open Stellina Pizzeria, an upscale casual concept that modernizes the classic pizza counter with style and dynamic energy.

Our simple, yet spirited menu nods to the street food of the southern Italian coast with a selection of fried seafood and veggies served in paper cones called cuoppo; light, flavorful Neo-Neapolitan pizzas with a distinctly crispy crust; house-made pastas; and creative panini served on our signature pizza dough.
Stellina Pizzeria brings Italian fun, flavor and festivity to a range of offsite events with customizable catering menus from chef Matteo featuring Italian street food, Neo-Neapolitan pizzas, pizza dough panini, and more. You book the party, we'll bring the pizza oven! Relax in the comfort of your own environment with our traveling pizza oven.
Open the Stellina Cacio & Pepe jar and pour a generous amount into a saute pan on medium heat until it begins to boil. Add pasta and part of the reserved cooking water to the saute pan with the Cacio & Pepe sauce and cook until pasta is " al dente" and evenly coated. If needed add more cooking water during this last step.

If I could give it 0 I would. I have had nothing but good past experiences with the pizza and find it delicious. However I placed an order at 6:50 with an expected delivery of 7:50... called at 8:30 for the manager Kira to tell me my pizzas are ready and waiting but the rest are not. Informed I can come PICKUP said pizzas which at this point have been sitting there for a while. They also informed me that they do not have any expected finish time for the rest of my food and I just have to wait...2hrs after ordering and absolutely no details if or when the food will be ready. I understand being

Great food, great drinks, and great service. The only blemish was that we ordered a pasta dish and a pizza and they must've forgotten the pasta as we asked them to cancel the order after waiting about 45 minutes and they fixed it by giving us the pasta for free. Definitely did their best to fix it and understandable as it was very busy on a Friday night. Highly recommend!

Waited in a large group outside for takeout order in the frigid cold. Orders were coming out on average one hour after assigned pick up time. Terrible communication - the staff was literally just standing around inside watching us freeze with no information on how long the orders were delayed.

On the other hand, the food was truly 5 stars.

Just a little communication would have gone such a long way in making the experience bearable.

Absolutely LOVE this pizzeria!!! We’ve gotten take out or even DoorDash delivery from here a few times and each time it’s been spot on.
The pizza is delicious and really pretty authentic Italian pizza. One of our favorites is the piccante, though you do need to like it a little spicy for that one. Overall, highly recommend!
I will say that they can be very busy at peak dinner hours, so you’re going to need to plan ahead, order early, etc. if you don’t want to wait!

This is some of the best pizza available. Very tasty Neapolitan pizza. Not very many places get it right. The dough is a nice balance of salty and sweet with I nice chewy fluffy texture. The sauce is very tasty.

Came here as part of a group for a conference that was in town. The place looks unassuming for a restaurant that has a Michelin star! The food is amazing, if you're looking for a great twist on Neapolitan pizza, than you won't be disappointed. The pizzas come out quick, cooked in a brick oven with thin and chewy crusts cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes are also just as legit, I came back to this place twice during my visit because I got food envy the first time around and had to try it all! Service is all through the app, and turn around time is quick; I didn't have to wait

This place is incredible. You think, pizza joint, what's the big deal? Perfect execution, high quality and fresh ingredients, great consistency, fast and friendly service, and everything is simply DELICIOUS.

The pizza crust is so perfectly chewy and crisp at the same time. My fav is the Picante pizza, which has the perfect flavor profile, cheesy, meaty, yummy goodness.

I had been frequenting this establishment every time I wanted pizza, so I never really thought to try their pasta dishes until recently. I mean, it's a pizza place, so how good can their pasta be?

Answer: Their pasta

I wish 6 stars was an option. We almost didn't end up here because of a mix up but I'm so glad we did. They don't take reservations so we sat at a high top by the entrance. I thought we'd be freezing but it actually wasn't that bad. you use the QR code at the table to place an order through tostabs connected to your name, table number, and credit card. It made the entire ordering and payment process completely seamless. It was actually impressive seeing it in action.

They have a spoon system to let servers know that you have questions but when we briefly tried, it didn

Ok let's talk about pizza in DC ! Union mkt is a lil secret in DC! Next to Trader Joe's you will find the closest pie to a real Italian pizza! I have been to Italy more than once and everyone knows; whether they invented it or not, it is STILL where
The Best pizza is found. At Stellina you will find as close as you can get to real Italian Authentic pie. Brick oven crispy perfect pull in the crust the cheese has taste (!) and the sauce is clearly homemade! If you want pepperoni, (salame is what u will get) no pepperoni in Italy people! Best margarita pizza I've ever had. Period. I got it with Buffalo mozzarella ($2 extra) and it was the freshest and juiciest, with a perfectly chewy crust with lots of flavor and just the right amount of salt in the dough. I've had pizza all around the world and none have reached this level of perfection.

Also, I've tried the fried seafood, fried artichokes, and calamari salad here and all were fantastic. They really know how to cook seafood.

Totally recommended. This place is even worth the trip if you live across town.

Wow! Amazing authentic (ish) Neapolitan pizza! I got the margarita with vegan cheese and it was absolutely delicious. Delivery was a little on the slow side but great customer service. I warmed it up for 5 min once it arrived and it was the perfect temperature. Wonderfully flavorful crust with beautiful leoparding. The sauce tasted good but I would have preferred more sauce and less cheese. Vegan cheese was pretty typical vegan mozzarella (I couldn’t tell which brand, it tasted like violife but melted much better). Optimal amount of fresh basil to top it off. I added some maldon salt and kalamata

I was waiting for the day when my schedule allotted me time to go to this spot. I have been wanting to go here for a while now. Other reviews have been done about this pizzeria, so since pizza is my favorite food…It was my turn at bat with this joint!! Located at 399 Morse St., Northeast, Washington DC, in the Union market area you’ll find @stellinapizzeria !! OK let’s go!! This spot has appetizers like their Cuoppo Misto ( fried calamari, shrimp, octopus, potato chips, and lemon $16), and their Aranicini di Riso (rice balls, meat ragu, mozzarella, and tomato sauce $12). Of course they have

We came here for an early dinner on Saturday night and WOW. The food is spectacular. We just moved here, but I have to believe it's the best pizza in the city. Perfectly chewy and somehow crispy, straight from the brick oven. The Caesar salad is to die for. I also liked the efficiency of their ordering and payment system, which is all done on your phone.

10/5 to the staff. Truly wonderful, every single one of them. They are so polite and attentive and pleasant, really making it a great experience (some of them are former customers who loved the food so much they decided to work there, which

Brunch was a rainy affair, and the staff were accommodating in helping us rearrange to avoid the deluge (they offered to move us but we were ok!).

We thought we were doing brunch but it looks like they have a special brunch menu, and I guess we didn't see it or it didn't show up, so we ordered off the regular menu. Probably should have ordered off the brunch menu. Margherita pizza, arancini, and fried cauliflower were all passable. The pizza is well done. Fried cauliflower was nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad.

The porchetta sandwich was somewhat of an exciting sensory

My new favorite restaurant in DC and by far one of the best pizza I've had in the US. If you like European style pizza, this is the place to go. The chef creates authentic Naples style pizza and everything is either house made or locally sourced (including a few of the alcohols). I got the meatball appetizer, the piccante pizza and the donuts for dessert. Everything was outstanding, and the staff was great. Will definitely be back

Stellina Pizzeria is more than pizza!! They also have the most amazing pasta. My favorite is the Chitarra di Pesce. The black ink noodles mixed with the fresh seafood is AMAZING. Having worked from home the last year, I was happy to see that they are still around!

We ordered take out - overall decent experience - we had the piccante, sausage and peppers, as well as the pork sausage with thyme. The crust on these is very good, super authentic ingredients and good flavors. The Cesar salad and rice balls were delicious. We will go again to try some different pizzas but it’s not your traditional pizza joint. Excited to try some pastas.

Being from Connecticut, the pizza capital of the world, we have a bit of a different understanding of what pizza is. Our dinner started with their fried calamari with squid, octopus and shrimps.

We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of totally different pizzas on their menu. The service is good the food is good and I even bought a bottle of hot oil to go. Especially good was the tiramisu.

We liked the restaurant and will be back.

I loved this place, it's a no frills, good food place. I will definitely come back, and the service was outstanding.

Food: we had the Cacio e Pepe, Funghi pizza, and the Gnocchi. All of the were perfectly tasty. The pizza was very authentic, the cacio e Pepe was very peppery- yum!! And the gnocchi had a delicious cream. I found out that the chefs and owners used to work at Lupo Verde, and it makes sense that the food tasted so good! I'm glad I stopped by!

Service: While it seemed hectic, they brought out a heater for my bf who was cold (lol) and when we left they gave us a trash

This pizza is delicious! I've been searching for a great local place since I moved to the Hill, and have finally found it in Stellina. Delivery was fast, the whole crew found a style to enjoy, and I will definitely be ordering again. I have no notes, and now that I'm fully vaxxed I can't wait to enjoy them in-person!

Amazing. Just amazing. I'm really not sure how I've never been here before.

The cacio e Pepe pizza was FANTASTIC. I was expecting pasta noodles on it but really didn't need them anyway. Definitely added more pepper on my slices, cause that's my style. 3 people shared 1 pizza, but it was more of a late afternoon appetizer in the truest sense of the word. One of my friends got a salad with prosciutto. They did NOT skimp and that salad really looked delicious.

Got cannolis to go. Yum yum YUM!

Fast, friendly service! They brought a heater out for our table!

Wooooo, new favorite Noma spot. The Neopolitan pizza is DIVINE and truly on point - thin but not soggy center, chewy crust, bring on the basil. (Anyone who knows me knows I crave a margherita pizza all day every day.) We also had the corraziere pizza, which had too much of a kick for my taste, but for those spicy lovers, it'll be a mild slow simmer for you :) And to start, we also had the calamari and the brussels sprouts (because #health). It doesn't seem like you can go wrong here, and I truly fear for my waistline.
